Bristol City centre-back Nathan Baker does really well here to keep the scoreline as it is. He gets in an important block to deny Jordan Rhodes in the middle, from Kadeem Harris' left-wing cross, after a good run from Harris. The game's opening up a little, finally.

The hosts take off youngster Han-Noah Massengo from central midfield and on comes winger Niclas Eliasson. That'll give the home side some more width. Expect plenty of crosses in to the box from the Swede.

At the other end just moments later, Callum O'Dowda slips a decent ball through to Nahki Wells, but his shot from inside the penalty area is blocked by the Owls' Liam Palmer. Good defending.

A quick move from the visitors finds Kadeem Harris, cutting inside from the left, on to his right foot, and he bends a curling, bouncing effort wide of the far post.

The Owls replaced Julian Borner with Morgan Fox at the break in their defence. Borner's knee needed some medical attention in the first half, so that feels like a 'better safe than sorry' subsitution as a precaution from Garry Monk.

Here come the players for the second half. It's going to be a big 45 minutes for Bristol City, who urgently need to end their poor run of form if they're to avoid losing key ground in the race for the top six. But Sheffield Wednesday won't make it easy for them.

Sheffield Wednesday have not kept an away league clean sheet at Bristol City since 1921, conceding in 21 consecutive league visits since then.

If they can break that streak today, they'll grab an important three points and move up to the 13th in the table, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

Sheffield Wednesday have the lead at the break thanks to Connor Wickham's 13th-minute header. Off the go for a half-time breather.

We're into five minutes of added time now at the end of this half.

Steady, steady, steady. Callum O'Dowda goes in with a rash foot off the ground on Connor Wickham. O'Dowda will be a bit relieved it's only a yellow. Wickham, to his credit, did not make a meal of it.

Lee Johnson's side continue to have more of the possession, with the away side looking to set up quick counter attacks when they win the ball back.

But neither goalkeeper has been busy for the past 25 minutes.

The Owls' second booking of the game comes as Kieran Lee fouls Callum O'Dowda. There are just over five minutes to go until the break.

The sunshine at Ashton Gate is getting brighter now, with the weather warming up.

This is the first game at Ashton Gate since the season resumed. There are plenty of red flags draped across seats in the stands, including a 'Cider Army' flag.

If there was a home crowd here today, I suspect they wouldn't be enjoying the game so far. Their side have had just one effort at goal in this first half.

There's a brief pause in play now as Sheffield Wednesday's Julian Borner is down receiving treatment on the field. He's having some black strapping applied to his right knee, but it looks like he wants to continue.

The play hasn't been very coherent for the past few minutes. It's breaking up in midfield quite a lot, with neither side able to get a run of passes together.
