    West Brom 0-0 QPR

The Baggies seem slightly nervy, in these early stages, but neither side has had a proper go for goal yet at The Hawthorns, seven minutes in.

  19. 'The streets are deserted'published at 19:28 British Summer Time 22 July 2020

    Brentford v Barnsley (19:30 BST)

    Rob Stevens
    BBC Sport at Griffin Park

This could be Brentford’s last game at Griffin Park, but the streets around this old ground were pretty much deserted on my short walk here from the station.

The New Inn and The Griffin, two of the famous four pubs which are positioned on each corner of the stadium, were completely lacking the fans who usually gather in their droves ahead of kick-off.

A board by the tunnel has been counting down the games until the Bees leave their home of 116 years for a new stadium new Kew Bridge Station.

It says one game to go this evening - if that proves to be the case then the club’s absent supporters will be celebrating a place in the top flight for the first time since 1947.

It's a beautiful early evening at Griffin Park. This will be the final game here if Brentford go up tonight. You couldn’t script this, after 73 years out of the top flight, they could return on the final ever game at this place with no one watching.

There are fans outside the ground making a decent noise and I suspect the four pubs on each corner of Griffin Park will be doing a roaring trade.

It is of course out of their hands, Brentford need a helping hand from QPR and former manager Mark Warburton at West Brom. They just have to win and see what happens.

It’s just as important for Barnsley - they have to win to have any chance of staying up and they’ve done well since the restart with 12 points.

It is going to be an emotional night.
