    Oxford United manager Karl Robinson:

"We probed and pushed for 95% of the game, but didn't take full advantage.

"The game sometimes isn't fair as all the things that were out of our control today, didn't fall for us.

"Take nothing away from Wycombe, they full deserve the victory and to go up.

"But it's two errors from us that will cause us nightmares for weeks to come. The penalty incident almost seemed to happen in slow motion from where I was stood.

"Right now, it feels like one of the lowest moments in my career."

"We had nine players turn up on the first day of pre-season and two of them were trialists. Today is for all the fans watching at home."

Andy King: Gutted. We will be back. Off to work.

Shrochis: Devastated! Defenders have to keep it simple...and one mistake was enough to sink us. Well done to Wycombe.. hope they do well next year. Off to drown sorrows (in the next room)...

Bill Hader Ginsburg: QPR fan here, couldn’t happen to a nicer man/manager.

Graham Gee: I'm pleased for Wycombe, but has a team ever finished a season with a goal difference of just +5 - and been promoted ??!!

Huddersfield were promoted to the Premier League through the Championship play-offs in 2017 with a goal difference of -2!
