As a palace fan I'm over the moon that we'll forever be the answer to a pub quiz question. Let's hope the question isnt "who squandered a lead in the first premier league match broadcast on the bbc..."

Bournemouth need to work it quicker, often slow and ponderous and Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita has been a spectator.

Nearly an hour gone and the Spaniard has not had a single save to make.

Palace took the sting out of the game with that second goal, it has lacked in real life since.

That was well worked. Eddie Howe has to be positive, he has to get some confidence into his players and let them express themselves. One goal will give the team a huge lift.

Charlie Evans: In Spain, one La Liga match a week is shown on free-to-air television. The BBC should definitely continue their coverage after lockdown is over for the new season. Good tele.

    Check complete, no red card.

But Joshua King is not in a good state, hobbling off the pitch.

On comes Dominic Solanke in his place.

Has the former Liverpool man found his scoring boots in lockdown?

Gary Cahill had won the ball cleanly, it is the follow through. In my opinion there is not much he can do. It looks bad, we have seen red cards given for this but I feel it would be a very harsh one.

Kev: Solanke to come off the bench and smash in a hat trick? In 2020 anything could happen!

'Between the lines': Brooks the only Bournemouth player I'm excited about so far. King, Wilson and H Wilson looking really out of it. No confidence. It's a huge worry for Howe

  20. 'Bournemouth need a crowd'published at 20:43 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Ian Wright
Former Crystal Palace and Arsenal striker on BBC One

This is one of those grounds when you have 12,000 people there and in a game like this you do need something from the crowd. They can't do that here.

When you are looking at Bournemouth they are not even getting on the ball to sustain pressure on Crystal Palace. Bournemouth have to score the next goal.
