Kelsey: Watching this game as a complete neutral, it is actually angering me just how bad Bournemouth are. I’ve seen better football from teams in the Hellenic League this season.

  2. 'Massive improvement needed'published at 20:39 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Alan Shearer
Former England captain on BBC One

Palace have been much the better team. They have been sharper, won tackles, won headers and the passing has been too good for Bournemouth to cope with.

They deserve their two-goal lead, it could have been more.

That is nowhere near good enough or acceptable for Bournemouth, Eddie Howe needs to lay into them at half-time.

They do not look fit, Howe needs to tell the players this is not a practice game and there are three points at stake.

A massive improvement is needed in the second half.

  3. 'Palace cause teams problems'published at 20:36 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Ian Wright
Former Crystal Palace and Arsenal striker on BBC One

Palace are capable of this. They have very good defensive guys at the back, quality in midfield and then with Wilfried Zaha in attack. They have all the attributes to go forth and cause teams problems like they are doing to Bournemouth.

They defended brilliantly and I can't imagine what they would be doing if they had a striker chipping with 10 or so goals.

    Awful.

David Brooks has been out for a long time but with a free-kick in a promising position, he curls it straight out of play.

  8. 'Strange with no crowd'published at 20:29 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

It is really strange with no crowd. Everything we are saying you feel like people can hear and also it is about riding the wave with the crowd when doing commentary.

Palace have been happy to keep their shape and let Bournemouth come at them, but the Cherries are lacking in ideas on how to find a breakthrough.

Tom Miszkowski: Bournemouth pleasing on the eye but lacking any real substance, can see why they are where they are. Being out classed by a Palace side that are more physical & athletic.

Ross Rickson: Calling it now, Bournemouth are going down. If you can't motivate yourself enough to beat #CPFC, external after #WHUFC, external dropped points today I don't hold out hope for you.

OK. Bournemouth work it wide and earn a corner.

Can they make it count though?

Roy Hodgson will be delighted. This is everything he will have asked from his team. Bournemouth can be tricky but Palace have nullified everything.

Bournemouth are searching for any gaps but there is nothing out there for them at the minute.

ipswichjon: Palace look so big, powerful and organised compared to Bournemouth.

Kristian Ross: No way back already for Bournemouth by the looks of things. Still plenty to play for with eight games left, but it really does look like the current bottom five clubs will be the ones battling relegation come the end of the season.

Lee Cooke: Bournemouth stink to high heaven of relegation

  16. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Bournemouth 0-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace, well organised and well drilled, sitting back in two banks of four.

Bournemouth looking to make in roads but not getting anywhere at the moment, it is all right to left to right again.

Palace will take this all day long.

  17. NOT CLOSE!published at 26 mins

    Bournemouth 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Oh deary me.

The 'crowd' come to life when Joshua King receives the ball on the edge of the box, but the Norwegian hammers an awful shot close to a throw-in.

Don't want to be seeing stuff like that on the Beeb.

  18. 'Top goal'published at 20:11 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

This is what I mean about movement. Wilfried Zaha just bides his time, he knows when he will go, Harry Wilson doesn't track his runner, lovely overlap and nice finish.

It is not an easy finish too, it is bobbling, he has to get himself over the ball and a controlled finish. Another top goal by Crystal Palace.

  19. goal

GOAL - Bournemouth 0-2 Crystal Palacepublished at 23 mins

    Jordan Ayew

Lovely, lovely goal - Roy Hodgson might want to crack open the champers after that.

Wilfried Zaha is involved, of course, holding on to the ball before releasing Patrick van Aanholt on the run with a perfect pass slipped through.

The flying Dutchman looks up to find Jordan Ayew inside the box and the Palace frontman side-foots a first-time strike into the bottom corner.

And remember, when Ayew scores, Palace don't lose.
