    Bournemouth 0-1 Crystal Palace

Palace skipper Luka Milivojevic wants another but this time blazes his shot way over from a long way out.

    Bournemouth 0-1 Crystal Palace

Not sure if a member of the Bournemouth coaching staff is greeting someone or telling his side to push further up.

It's either "hiya, hiya, hiya" or "higher, higher, higher".

  3. CLOSE!published at 16 mins

    Bournemouth 0-1 Crystal Palace

Good response from Bournemouth who almost level.

David Brooks whips in an inviting cross from the right, Callum Wilson nods it on at the near post but it drifts just over the crossbar.

  4. 'Hard to play between the lines'published at 20:03 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-1 Crystal Palace

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

Crystal Palace are one of the worst teams to be up against it. They get so compact and get into great shape and it is so hard to play in-between the lines which Bournemouth love to do.

Tim in Marlow: The last time the BBC showed a live domestic league game, Crystal Palace missed out on the Second Divison playoffs by two points under Steve Coppell, and Bournemouth finished a creditable 17th in their first ever appearance in that division, under Harry Redknapp. #Flashback.

Jot that one down in the record books.

Luka Milivojevic, the first player to score a Premier League goal live on the BBC.

And what a cracker it was.

Joseph: Cristiano Ronaldo, eat your heart out!

Ellis Warren: Luka Milivojevic best set piece taker in the league

Owen: "Crystal Palace have struggled to score", and of course they then go and do it against my fantasy 'keeper. Put it back in lockdown, please.

  8. 'No stopping that'published at 20:00 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-1 Crystal Palace

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

He just really has that ability to put it exactly where you need to. He got the right pace, right dip. There is no way you are stopping that. It was only going in one place and that man knew exactly where that was.

Bournemouth have to pick themselves up because they had started the game really well.

    Beauty!

It is the side of the pitch "which favours the right-footer".

The dangerous set-piece man Luka Milivojevic is over it, straightens his armband and then curls a magnificent free-kick over the wall and into the top corner.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale gets a hand on it, but is beaten by the sheer pace and accuracy of it.

Not a great start for Eddie Howe's side.

Little has happened but then Wilfried Zaha comes to life inside the area.

The Ivory Coast international takes a touch and smashes a shot from the angle which sails just over the crossbar.

The 'ooooh' from the fake crowd comes 10 seconds later like the button-pusher is watching the game on a dodgy online stream.

  12. Cahill - signing of the season?published at 19:54 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

Gary Cahill has potentially been one of the best signings of the season.

People thought he was coming to the end of his career but that was at Chelsea. He has led that back line brilliantly all season.

  13. Postpublished at 8 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace

Palace coming into the game on the back of three straight clean sheets.

Don't think Roy Hodgson gets the praise he deserves for the job he has done with this side.

  14. 'An opportunity for Bournemouth'published at 19:52 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

This scenario down at the bottom of the table - to go down on goal difference [if season had not restarted] would have been a bitter pill to swallow for Bournemouth.

It is great that we have the league back going and they have the opportunity to not only get their players fit but also get out of the situation that they are in.

  15. Postpublished at 5 mins

    Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace

David Brooks showing what Bournemouth have been missing.

Some delightful footwork down the right, tricking his way past numerous Palace players but then just losing control and the ball runs out of play.

Bright start from the man making his first appearance of the season...in June.

Verity Wilde: Live top flight football on BBC One. I never thought I’d see the day. I wasn’t even at school last time this happened.

Will Sugg: It just feels right to have @GaryLineker, external hosting live football during the summer.

  17. 'It can't be ignored'published at 19:49 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC One

There is a movement happening. It can't be ignored. It is a situation that takes me back to my own carrier and the t-shirts and slogans that we had and was anything really done? Probably not.

It is brilliant from the Premier League that they are taking action and hopefully from now on there will be a lot more diversity at all levels.

  18. 'Cherries have been missing Brooks'published at 19:46 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Ian Wright
Former Arsenal striker on BBC One

Bournemouth have Harry Wilson but he is not the same as David Brooks in that transition in a counter attacking game. They play so much slower without him.

  19. KICK-OFFpublished at 19:46 British Summer Time 20 June 2020

    Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace

Referee Stuart Attwell gets the game under way.

And as we have seen in all the previous games since the restart, the players take a knee.
