    Birmingham 0-1 Charlton

Charlton once again have a chance to make it two, as another run down the left beats Birmingham right-back Maxime Colin and another square ball sets up Macauley Bonne for almost a carbon copy of his opening goal, but this time Bonne is denied by a good save from Birmingham keeper Lee Camp.

That's drinks at the City Ground.

Forest have been getting on top of this since Sammy Ameobi levelled the scores for the second time this evening.

  4. Postpublished at 19:33 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Birmingham 0-1 Charlton

With just under 20 minutes to go, here's the drinks break. Birmingham have work to do, and fast. But Lee Bowyer's side know how important this result could be to them - can they see it out?

  5. HITS THE WOODWORK (Charlton)published at 19:30 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Birmingham 0-1 Charlton

It's a lucky escape for Birmingham, as Charlton very nearly double their lead.

Aiden McGeady has time to bend a shot at goal from the edge of the area but is denied by the post. Lee Camp wasn't getting to that.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:28 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Nott'm Forest 2-2 Swansea

Swansea take off Mike van der Hoorn for Ben Cabango.

Van der Hoorn was making his first appearance since January.

Just before that Nottingham forest winger Tiago Silva, who came on for Samba Sow a few minutes ago, hit a free-kick so far behind all his team-mates it was comical.

  7. SUBSTITUTION (Charlton)published at 19:26 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

The visitors' first change sees Tomer Hemed replaced but Chuks Aneke up front.

There's still just under half an hour for Birmingham to fight back, but just look how pivotal that Charlton goal could be.

Here's the as-it-stands Championship table following the visitors' opener, with the Addicks poised to move above the Blues and four clear of Hull. Massive.

On the pitch, Birmingham almost make it 1-1, but Ivan Sunjic's low effort from just outside the box is well saved by Dillon Phillips.

  9. Postpublished at 19:22 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Nott'm Forest 2-2 Swansea

Sammy Ameobi had scored three goals all season before tonight and he's now one off doubling his tally in a single night.

This is a really open contest at the City Ground with just over 30 minutes to play.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONS (Birmingham)published at 19:21 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Birmingham 0-1 Charlton

Birmingham's caretaker bosses Steve Spooner and Craig Gardner respond to falling behind by making a quick double change.

Youngsters Jude Bellingham and Jayden Reid replace winger Jeremie Bela and striker Scott Hogan, who had a penalty saved in the first half, if you've just joined us.

The former Newcastle man cuts in off the right flank and smashes a left-footed effort into the bottom corner from 25 yards.

    Great goal.

  12. goal

GOAL: Birmingham 0-1 Charltonpublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Macauley Bonne (58 mins)

Somewhat against the run of play, Charlton have the lead and this could be a huge, huge goal in the battle to avoid relegation.

Alfie Doughty creates it, doing really well down the visitors' left to skip past Maxime Colin in the area and Doughty plays a square ball across the six-yard box straight to the on-rushing Macauley Bonne, who taps home his 10th of the season.

  13. Postpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

The Blues are having a good spell here. Left-back Kristian Pedersen wins them another corner, but again Charlton do well in the air to keep the hosts out.

    Birmingham 0-0 Charlton

A strong, driving run from Scott Hogan forces a corner for the hosts.

But the Addicks defend the subsequent delivery from the left well and it's headed away.

  15. Postpublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

Forest defender Carl Jenkinson is booked for a very firm tackle out on the touchline.

Honours even at Ashton Gate, and Stoke are surely safe from relegation now, five points clear of danger with four teams between them and the bottom three as well.

As for Bristol City, that feels like the end of their faint play-off hopes. They're five points behind sixth-placed Cardiff with two to play.
