    Bristol City 1-1 Stoke

There are just under 20 minutes to go at Ashton Gate, where Bristol City's play-off hopes will look extremely faint if it stays like this. They'd be five points behind sixth-placed Cardiff ahead of the final two rounds of games. That's too much to ask.

For Stoke, a point would see them climb five clear of the drop zone and their fans would surely feel safe if that was the case, in 17th.

    Brentford 1-0 Preston

That's much closer from Said Benrahma!

The Bees forward ends up running right the way across the Preston area before hitting an effort that flies wide of the post.

  3. Postpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Brentford 1-0 Preston

Said Benrahma has had a couple of sighters for Brentford this half.

He maybe should have done a bit better with this one as his 20-yard effort goes wide of the far post.

  4. YELLOW CARD (Birmingham)published at 18:31 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Birmingham 0-0 Charlton

    Time for drinks.

It's been very even in this second half with chances for both sides.

Can the Bees hold out for an eighth successive win and move to one point of second-placed West Brom?

  6. Postpublished at 18:28 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Brentford 1-0 Preston

First change of the game is made by the hosts.

Mathias Jensen is replaced by Josh Dasilva.

  7. Postpublished at 18:27 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Brentford 1-0 Preston

The visitors win a couple of corners, the second of which brings about a lengthy spell of head tennis, before the hosts clear.

They quickly get the ball down the other end of the pitch and win a corner of their own.

Preston goalkeeper Declan Rudd does well to punch away.

    Danny Batth (64 mins)

Stoke equalise and you have to say they deserve it, based on the balance of play since half-time.

James McClean whips in a lethal cross from the left flank that is just begging to be touched home, and Danny Batth duly obliges as he arrives to head in from six yards out. It's his second goal in as many games. It's a cracking header.

  9. Postpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Birmingham 0-0 Charlton

In the first 20 minutes, Birmingham have looked significantly better when in possession so far tonight than they did in a pretty poor display at Stoke on Sunday.

Charlton haven't seen as much of the attacking play yet but are looking to counter attack quickly when they do.

    Brentford 1-0 Preston

Preston move the ball around really well down their right before feeding the ball into Ryan Ledson in the area.

He can't make clean contact though and David Raya collects easily.

At the other end Said Benrahma is in the book for Brentford for a pretty pathetic dive 20 yards from goal.

    Not nice.

    Whatever Rhian Brewster can do...

After the Swans had opened the scoring in this with a cracking goal through their Liverpool loanee Forest level with a wonderful strike from the edge of the area from Sammy Ameobi.

  12. Postpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Brentford 1-0 Preston

Bees forrward Bryan Mbeumo digs out a wonderful switch of play for Said Benrahma but he can't bring it under his control.

Moments later another home attack ends with Ollie Watkins overhitting a deep cross looking for the run of Mbeumo.

Brentford looking ore and more threatening now.

  13. HITS THE WOODWORK (Stoke)published at 18:19 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Bristol City 1-0 Stoke

Stoke go inches from an equaliser, but Nick Powell's left-footed drive from inside the area hits the far post.

Moments earlier, the hosts' Jamie Paterson got the game's first yellow card for a foul on Powell.

  14. Postpublished at 18:17 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Brentford 1-0 Preston

You could forgive some Brentford nerves the longer this goes on as it is.

A win here will close the gap on second-placed West Brom to one point with two games to play and give them an eighth successive win.

Said Benrahma finds space between the lines and slips in goalscorer Ollie Watkins but this time he can only lash over from 18 yards.

  15. CLOSE!published at 18:15 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Birmingham 0-0 Charlton

Despite Birmingham's bright start, it's suddenly almost 1-0 to Charlton down the other end, but Jonathan Williams heads narrowly off target from Josh Cullen's dangerous cross.

  16. Postpublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Brentford 1-0 Preston

Great breakaway from the hosts ends with Bryan Mbeumo winning a free-kick right on the byline after a lovely bit of skill.

Preston's Joe Rafferty is booked for his trouble.

The ball is pulled back to the edge of the area but the shot's charged down. Bit of a waste that.

  17. Postpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 15 July 2020

    Birmingham 0-0 Charlton

The Blues create this game's first few openings, but Jeremie Bela shoots wide after a good run from Maxime Colin down the right. That came after Dan Crowley and Scott Hogan had both already gone close.

Just three points separate these two relegation-threatened teams, but a win for Birmingham would secure their survival.
