Sheffield United pile players forward but Enda Stevens doesn't use any of them. He tries to catch Nick Pope out with a long-range effort but it takes a nick of Phil Bardsley.

Decent start to the game. Burnley haven't had too much possession in Sheffield United's half but should have scored through Matej Vydra.

John Egan almost gets a touch on a cross from the left but Nick Pope comes racing out of his box to put him off.

It was a lovely ball in! Well left by Pope in the end.

Paul: No consistency in these handball decisions. Ball just hit Burnley defender's arm and they barely even checked it let alone give it yet other handballs like the spurs one last week do get handballs given. It's a joke.

The handball rule is so inconsistent. It clearly hit Erik Pieters hand on the replay, even if it was by accident.

Who knows what's a penalty anymore!

Kyle: As a Newcastle fan I hope either Burnley win or this game is a draw. If that happens and Newcastle win, we are 3 points off 8th place. 8th place could be enough to make the Europa League. Both teams should want to be in Europe it's a great adventure.

Chances galore!

Sheffield United go straight up the other end and Sander Berge has a shot from close range saved.

From the corner, another effort by John Egan is blocked near the front post by Erik Pieters. There's appeals for handball but a quick VAR check suggests otherwise.

A great break from Burnley with pace. Vydra is through and is looking to just hit the target. He drags it wide, a great opportunity.

Ooooh it should be 1-0.

It's a quick break from Burnley. Jay Rodriguez plays it through to Erik Pieters on the left and he quickly slips in Matej Vydra.

Vydra has one touch and has the goal gaping, but side-foots it wide of the right post.

Oliver Norwood's delivery is a good a one but David McGoldrick doesn't read the flight of the ball properly.

It's back with Norwood for a second chance but this time the wind picks up the ball and carries it straight out for a goal kick.

Oliver McBurnie does well to win a header in the Burnley half. It's moved left to Enda Stevens, who puts a ball into the box.

It's headed away by Phil Bardsley. Decent start from Sheffield United!

Scott: I can understand why the Europa League is more appealing now with Champions League for the winners. Could Burnley or Sheff Utd win it though realistically? Do they want the extra games and possibly struggle in the league as a result?

A long throw causes problems for Burnley's defence. Nick Pope makes a mess of it but the whistle goes for a foul somewhere in the build-up as the ball rolls into the net.

Not really sure what's happened there and neither are the players!

That is a brilliant save, a massive save at the start of the game. Nick Pope has stood up, stood strong. We call it functional goalkeeping.

What a chance!

Oliver McBurnie is through in the box following a terrific flick from David McGoldrick. He hits it first time from close range but it's a decent reactionary save from Nick Pope, with his leg outstretched.
