There are two goalkeepers in these sides who have had fantastic seasons. These guys have been lynchpins. Great to see.

Two guys who have made these positions their own and have really bright futures.

Burnley v Sheffield United (12:00 BST)

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder speaking to Sky Sports: "[The victory over Tottenham] has given us confidence. There were signs we were getting back to our form pre-lockdown. To get the result we did and the performance was great. It's important we take that on today.

On the job Sean Dyche is doing at Burnley: "It's there for everybody to see. To keep Burnley in the position they are in the league, to play in Europe... Burnley are possibly the most talked about club in our staff room. We have huge respect for what they do year-in, year-out. They just keep going strong every year."

Burnley v Sheffield United (12:00 BST)

    Burnley

Burnley boss Sean Dyche talking to Sky Sports: "Overall its been a pretty good show since we came out of lockdown.

"We lose a couple, we get a couple back on the verge. We are getting closer but we aren't quite there yet. It could be an interesting afternoon with the wind."

Burnley v Sheffield United (12:00 BST)

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has just been speaking with Sky Sports and he says it's "not ideal" to have three games in the same week.

He's also asked about the injuries in his squad and the positives of having the likes of Jay Rodriguez back.

"Hopefully they don't get blown away by the wind here today!" he responds.

    This stat blew my mind.

Burnley have used 62 substitutes this season, the fewest in the division - including just four of a possible 15 since the competition restarted in June.

They've got nine players on the bench today, one more than Sheffield United. Four are 20 or younger and Bailey Peacock-Farrell is only a 23-year-old keeper.

What do you think to that Burnley and Sheffield United fans? Surely playing European football is what you want? Or do you agree with Lawro - it could make life much harder in the Premier League next season?

  12. Europe - a welcome problem?published at 11:23 British Summer Time 5 July 2020

Burnley v Sheffield United (12:00 BST)

Both of these sides still have an eye on a European spot for next season.

Burnley have already found out the hard way how playing in the Europa League can disrupt your domestic campaign, when they made such a poor start to the Premier League in 2018-19.

Given their squad size and wage structure, I think it could have the same effect on the Blades if they were in Europe - although I would understand why they would welcome that problem.

    Prediction: 2-1

  13. Dyche fully committed to Burnleypublished at 11:19 British Summer Time 5 July 2020

    Burnley v Sheffield United

    Burnley

Burnley boss Sean Dyche said he remains committed to the club after they boosted their hopes of qualifying for Europe with victory at Crystal Palace in their last game.

The Clarets have had a challenging time since lockdown, with the failure to extend a number of first-team players' contracts meaning Dyche has only been able to name a seven-strong substitutes' bench, comprised mainly of individuals from the club's academy.

"In the 100 days from the start of lockdown to the end, the dynamic of the club has changed somewhat, so that has been interesting to compute and to make sense of. But [today] you saw a group fully motivated, as am I," Dyche told Amazon Prime.

"We've got a group here who never go under. I'll be working hard. You saw me committed in the last game and this game and you saw a team full of commitment to playing for Burnley."

Newcastle v West Ham (14:15 BST)

Sean Longstaff, Jamaal Lascelles and Joelinton are all doubts for Newcastle, while Florian Lejeuene could miss the remainder of the season.

Head coach Steve Bruce says it is "inevitable" he will make changes for his side's fifth game in the space of 15 days.

West Ham will assess Mark Noble, Arthur Masuaku and Sebastien Haller, all of whom are nearing returns.

Felipe Anderson is doubtful with a slight muscle problem.

  15. What form are they in?published at 11:12 British Summer Time 5 July 2020

Burnley v Sheffield United (12:00 BST)

Sean Dyche's side are unbeaten in their past five Premier League home matches (W3, D2).

A Burnley win would also see them equal their club record for most victories in a Premier League season (14 in 2017-18).

Sheffield United have lost successive away games, as many defeats as they suffered in their first 14 on the road in the Premier League this season.

They registered five shots on target in Thursday's win against Tottenham, compared to just three in total in their previous three top-flight matches.

  17. Is Europe within reach?published at 11:04 British Summer Time 5 July 2020

Burnley v Sheffield United (12:00 BST)

It's all to play for with six games remaining for these two clubs, including today's match.

Victory for Sheffield United would see them move back up to seventh place, overtaking Arsenal and putting themselves in a good position to challenge for a Europa League spot.

Burnley are only two points behind them and would move above Sheffield United and Tottenham with a win.

If Manchester City's European ban is upheld, it gets very interesting.
