  1. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:56 British Summer Time 6 July 2020

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

A poor game settled by a scruffy OG. Spurs go eighth, Everton are 11th.

  2. Postpublished at 90+4 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Djibril Sidibe lines up a volley from about 30 yards, sure why not? Wide. And that will be that.

  3. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

They're having a go but it's all too little too late. Moise Kean swivels and fires in a shot but it's straight at Hugo Lloris. FOUR minutes to be added on.

  4. Postpublished at 90 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

The corner is headed out to Anthony Gordon in a bit of space - lashed into the stand.

  5. Postpublished at 88 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Fine defending from Eric Dier - no typo - as he gets across his front post and heads out a good cross. It's now or never, pretty much for Everton.

  6. Postpublished at 85 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Ben Davies flashes a dangerous cross into the middle but there's nobody on the end of it. This game is crawling towards the finish line now.

  7. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has another swing at a ball pumped into the box but Spurs have defended those well all night. Everton just haven't had any guile to break them down.

  8. Postpublished at 81 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

DCL helps on an Everton cross and hits the target but it was never going to trouble Hugo Lloris. Tame effort on a tame night. Erik Lamela is on for Lucas Moura.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 78 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Not that this game needed breaking up but here come the subs - on come Bergwijn, Sidibe and Kean for Son, Davies and Coleman.

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 75 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Richarlison works back well to win the ball for Everton and Ben Davies just goes for the cheap shirt tug and he's in the book.

Everton ending the game on top here. Spurs haven't been able to kill the game, to borrow one of Jose's favourite phrases. Harry Kane has been very quiet. Just two shots and 25 touches tonight.

  11. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Apologies! We had drinks and then my computer decided to lock up so I had to do a reboot. You didn't miss much - though Everton now have a free-kick which Bernard puts into the wall.

Tom Davies scuttles the loose ball wide.

  12. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Everton have a rare attack and win a free-kick which is delivered really well but Serge Aurier wins it at the back post.

Everton replace the disappointing Gylfi Sigurdsson with Bernard.

  13. CLOSE!published at 64 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Son is a cracking little player isn't he. Runs the channel, has two men on him but manages to spin and curl just wide from the edge of the area before moments later wriggling free inside the box and stinging the gloves of Jordan Pickford.

He's obviously been awesomely successful in the past, but how could anyone with a sense of the DNA of Utd or Spurs appoint Mourinho?

    Derek, Netherlands.

The second coat of paint seems to be drying in a different pattern!

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

An hour gone and the game is still tepid at best. Needs a rocket up it from somewhere.

  17. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not been in the game, Richarlison had that one good effort. Everton have been flat. Son looks lively, teeing up Gio lo Celso for a shot that he pulls wide.

This has been like a training game but maybe it sums up both sides' seasons and where they are.

I have been really disappointed by Everton.

  19. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Everton

Shot on target! Spurs just go route one and pump it over the top, Son's pace is too much for Yerry Mina and the South Korean gets to it first. The angle is against him but he hits in a decent shot that Jordan Pickford has to push out.

These are two mediocre, mid-table teams.
