    Brighton 0-4 Manchester City

This could be any sort of score now really. Raheem Sterling now has 26 goals for City this season, his most prolific campaign to date.

He has 16 in the Premier League which puts him level with Sergio Aguero.

Brighton send on Maupay, Stephens and Lamptey for Montoya, Propper and Connoly.

    Hospital pass.

    Bernardo Silva (57 mins)

    This could get ugly now...

Bernardo Silva shoots from the edge of the area, Mat Ryan can't hold on to it and should do really. Gabriel Jesus is alive to it, gets to the breakdown and is able to nurdle the ball loose.

Silva has followed it in and he has a tap-in.

    Raheem Sterling (53 mins)

Another lovely goal, City are purring along tonight. Kevin de Bruyne out to Riyad Mahrez on the right, he checks back on to his left foot and whips in a curler, Raheem Sterling is between defenders and flies in and heads home!

He doesn't score too many headers.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 51 mins

    Brighton 0-2 Manchester City

A lot of setting up from both sides as Brighton put Leandro Trossard in that sort of long-barrier blocking position behind the wall, in case Kevin de Bruyne went low. He doesn't, punts it up and over the eall and it smacks away off the post.

So unlucky - and Raheem Sterling's follow-up then goes straight at Mat Ryan.

More of the same, utter domination and Kevin de Bruyne is tripped on the edge of the area. Danger here.

    Brighton 0-2 Manchester City

City must have had 40-50 passes there as they patiently worked it around within 30 yards of the Brighton goal, from right wing to left and back again but it breaks down when Benjamin Mendy puts a cross in and it's easily cut out.

Al Mamun Russell: Has Pep Guardiola ever played seven such 'pointless' league matches in a row?

Anon: Gabriel Jesus and De Bruyne have one of the best partnerships in the world in terms of goals, but they could be the best.

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder, speaking to Sky Sports.

"To turn Tottenham, Wolves and Chelsea over three games on the spin, you have to be at your maximum. Today we were outstanding in both penalty areas. You know Chelsea can pull some magic out of the bag so you always need another goal.

"There will be a few happy Sheffield United fans this afternoon. It was yet again a fabulous performance from the team. We wanted to make it difficult. Our structure out of possession was really good and then you have to be clinical with your opportunities. The play around the box to create the goals was great and the finishes were fantastic.

“The schedule is intense but my players love being in the Premier League. We’ve got some good players who want to defend with an identity and put their bodies on the line. But we’ve had something going forward too. You don’t get to this position by just sitting on the crossbar.

"We have to keep the hammer down now for the last three games.”

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder: “I was bothered about David McGoldrick not scoring this season. That's what he needs to do. But he gets into good positions. And from a talent and work ethic point of view and for what he brings to the team, it’s great that he’s got off the mark and I’m delighted for him.

"Our fans know what he brings to the football club and I know what he brings to the team.”

    Gabriel Jesus (44 mins)

That's the way to do it! He's missed a few good chances but that's excellent instincts from the City number nine, Gabriel Jesus poking in from about a yard out after Rodri heads a corner across goal.

He looked on the suspicious side of offside but he's clearly on.
