Great chance for four again! George Baldock in around some Chelsea statues to nick the ball back, he finds Ben Osborn, who should probably pull the trigger but hands it on one more to Enda Stevens, who lashes it over the top,

A top three finish is on, mathematically anyway, for Sheffield United still. Would be one of Chris Wilder's worst finishes of late but he'd take it I reckon.

He'll have had worse Julys, I reckon...

Brighton make five changes from the side that lost to Liverpool on Wednesday.

Full-backs Bernardo and Martin Montoya come into the Seagulls defence, Yves Bissouma is in midfield and Aaron Mooy will sit in the hole behind Aaron Connolly, who leads their attack.

Dan Burn, Tariq Lamptey, Dale Stephens, Alexis Mac Allister and Neal Maupay are the players who make way, and all five of them drop to the bench.

Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Dunk, Webster, Bernardo, Propper, Bissouma, Mooy, Gross, Connolly, Trossard

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola shuffles his squad again, with an entirely different back-four as part of six changes from the side that thrashed Newcastle in midweek.

  6. CLOSE!published at 82 mins

    Sheffield United 3-0 Chelsea

So nearly four! Lys Mousset powers away from the defence, after more great play from David McGoldrick, he's in on goal, beats Kurt Zouma and then clips it over the head of Kepa...and narrowly wide!

    Matthew: The McHatrick is complete!!!

London Money: Always felt Chelsea were punching above their weight this season - what a time to fall apart though.

Roger: Only one team in this with a plan to stick to, with all the players on board, makes a difference.

Olivier Giroud has done alright since he came on and he heads one down but straight at Dean Henderson. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is now on for Chelsea too. a revolving door needed on that bench.

GOAL - Sheffield United 3-0 Chelseapublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 11 July 2020

    David McGoldrick (77 mins)

What an evening for Sheffield United! David McGoldrick has his second and he deserves it too. He wins the ball on halfway, juggles the ball on his chest and plays a perfectly-weighted pass into the run of Lys Mousset. I thought he was going to shoot but he cuts it back looking for Ben Osborn in the middle.

Toni Rudiger is there but gets his feet in a muddle, he can only clip the ball into the air and McGoldrick catches up with it to rattle it past Kepa and in.

Into the last 15 minutes and another change, must be difficult for the players to keep up. Callum Hudson-Odoi is on for Reece James so I guess that's another change. 4-4-2 now?

  11. CLOSE!published at 72 mins

    Sheffield United 2-0 Chelsea

Getting closer! Ross Barkley feeds Cesar Azpilicueta on his right and his powerful shot deflects wide. And then a great chance!

From the corner, it's flicked on and Tammy Abraham wheeling around the back puts it over! He was only about two yards out but the ball came to him at an awkward height.

    Sheffield United 2-0 Chelsea

Chelsea going more direct now, planting another long ball for Olivier Giroud to go and chase. Not sure why they felt that they couldn't do that with Tammy Abraham up top.

United now win a corner and Kepa does well to field a cross at his near post.

A lot of changes in this second half as we reach the drinks break. Chris Basham has been struggling since blocking that Ross Barkley free-kick and he's gone off now, as Phil Jagielka comes on in the Blades defence.

Mustapha Mansur: Chelsea lose today, then the top four door is widely open for Man U and Wolves to gate crash.

Ben: 75% possession. Two shots on target. Zero goals. Depressing.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 66 mins

Change in shape again - Olivier Giroud is in for Christian Pulisic. Two up top for the visitors.

And straight away Giroud lashes a volley just wide from a cracking long ball over the top!

With his first touch Jon Lundstram nearly sets up a chance, playing in Enda Stevens inside the box but a blue shirt covers across well to clear this time.

Then at the other end Ross Barkley does well to slip a tackle and find Christian Pulisic but his shot is hesitant and charged down.

Sander Berge is swapped for Lord John Lundstram, while Lys Mousset replaces Oli McBurnie. Quite the shift.

  18. Postpublished at 61 mins

    Sheffield United 2-0 Chelsea

Ross Barkley lines up a free-kick - into the wall. Chelsea having some concerted pressure now but still no way through to test Dean Henderson. Looks like a few changes being readied.

    Sheffield United 2-0 Chelsea

Manchester United could yet end the weekend in third place, and there's a sentence you'd find it hard to have imagined a while ago. Like 'we're off on holiday tomorrow' or 'there's not much on the news.'

Chelsea step it up a bit and put some good crosses in from the right but on both occasions the Blades win the header.
