  1. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 44 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

Almost another Arsenal penalty! But this time Andreas Christensen trips Nicolas Pepe a yard outside the box.

    Danger here though.

  2. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

Nicolas Pepe's ball in has Willy Caballero in a bit of a flap and it goes out for a corner. Pepe then has a shot blocked, it's all Arsenal...

Pepe is almost comically one-footed. His right foot must be hilariously bad.

  3. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

Arsenal could have done more there - they had men over, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang heads the ball across looking for Alexander Lacazette but Andreas Christensen cut it out. Arsenal well on top.

  4. Arsenal turn the tidepublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

It was all Chelsea until the drinks break but since then Arsenal have had Nicolas Pepe's disallowed goal, an equaliser and now Chelsea have lost Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Gunners have gained momentum and confidence. The body language is much more positive.

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

It's a very open and good Cup final this, which is very often not the case. Nicolas Pepe cuts inside on the Arsenal right but can't quite squeeze a shot off in time.

  6. 'Alonso gets in Jorginho's way'published at 18:08 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

    Danny Murphy
Former Liverpool and England midfielder on BBC One

It's Mason Mount again, making those runs in behind. He took his time with the cut-back and Marcos Alonso ends up getting in Jorginho's way. It's a poor finish.

  7. CLOSE!published at 37 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

That's a decent chance! Mason Mount again does really well down the left, he's very adept at finding space. His cutback is a good one but Jorginho and Marcos Alonso run across each other and get in each other's way, which leads to Jorginho slapping his shot halfway up to Emile Sande's perch on the roof.

  8. 'Azpilicueta in tears'published at 18:06 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

    Chris Sutton
Premier League winner on BBC Radio 5 Live

Cesar Azpilicueta appears to be in a fair bit of distress. There are tears as he goes off. That tells you what this final means to him. It's sad to see.

What a start it has been....

A reminder of Christian Pulisic's opener... seems a while ago now.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 34 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

Cesar Azpilicueta's cup final is done. Andreas Christensen is the man to come on in that back three as the Chelsea skipper limps off.

The new season starts in a matter of weeks, this could be a struggle.

Veet: How long does that VAR decision need to take? Was it a foul? Yes. Did it continue inside the box? Yes. Penalty. Needs 30 seconds at longest.

Pudding-head Wilson: Chelsea need to sort their defence out pretty quickly.

Gordon: Strong defense and leadership wins big leagues. Chelsea are better than Arsenal in these areas but neither is very good.

  13. ouch!

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

And now Cesar Azpilicueta has gone down - looks like a pulled muscle. He's had a bad few minutes.

A few of you are asking why he wasn't sent off as he pulled his man back for that penalty and I'll be honest, I haven't a clue any more.

  14. 'Aubameyang dived'published at 18:02 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

    Chris Sutton
Premier League winner on BBC Radio 5 Live

I have to say Arsenal are very, very fortunate about the penalty award. I thought Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dived. Did Aubameyang have to go down? There was not enough contact for him to fall like that.

  15. Postpublished at 30 mins

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

David Luiz gives Olivier Giroud a dig in the back and that's a painful one. The handsome Frenchman will be OK though.

  16. Postpublished at 30 mins

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (31 years old) is Arsenal's second-oldest ever goalscorer in an FA Cup Final, after Bob John v Newcastle in 1932 (33).

  17. 'It's a fascinating game'published at 18:00 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea

    Danny Murphy
Former Liverpool and England midfielder on BBC One

If you are going to play a high line, with Arsenal's pace, you will have problems in behind. That was the fourth or fifth time they got in.

It's a great penalty. He is supremely confident and that's what you expect from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. It's a fascinating game. Both sides are making chances and exposing weaknesses in the opposition.

That was a really good pen!

    Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Pen 28 mins)

THUMPED in. What a cracking penalty. Willy Caballero dives the wrong way but it wouldn't have mattered as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finds the corner of the net with a cracking contact.

    Arsenal 0-1 Chelsea

    Chris Sutton
Premier League winner on BBC Radio 5 Live

There is a little pull. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang knows what he is doing. There is the slightest contact. He has bought that penalty!
