When you hit one that sweet like Gnabry, it makes you want the ball all the time.

Lyon will start to double up and it will leave a Bayern player free elsewhere.

    Lyon 0-1 Bayern Munich

Serge Gnabry's long-range radar is switched on as he hits another one from distance that Anthony Lopes can only push away before his defence clears.

Lyon need to get back to what they were doing before Bayern struck because at the moment they are struggling to build attacks.

If Bayern don't go on to win it there is an argument that their 8-2 win against Barcelona was all in vain.

They have to win the competition That will be on their minds.

We've been asking who is Europe's most underrated player.

Sunday: Europe's most underrated player. Gnabry

Jf: Europe’s most underrated player of all time is Carlton Palmer.

Oliver: I'm starting to think Gnabry probably was good enough for Arsenal. Maybe even West Brom, too.

Thiago dinks the free kick over the wall, Thomas Muller pulls clear but uncharacteristically misses his shot completely, although he might have been flagged offside had he connected.

Bayern certainly show the importance of having good finishers in your team. It seemed like only a matter of time before Lyon took the lead given the start they had but one real opportunity for Serge Gnabry and he grabbed it with both hands.

Lyon are a bit rattled by that strike and Bayern are on top now. They've got a free kick around 30 yards out...

Lyon have had their opportunities but that was a stunning finish from Gnabry.

Just think he could not get a game for West Brom.

That is what happens if you do not make use of all those chances. Bayern hit you on the break with a sucker punch.

He just cut across across the 18-yard box with no opposition.

    Serge Gnabry

    Wow!

Absolutely no stopping this as Serge Gnabry is onto a ball over the top on the right, he cuts inside before driving a fierce effort into the back of the net from just outside the box.

You have to feel for Lyon after all the chances they have had, but what a stunning goal.

How has he not scored? It was an amazing run. He was bearing down on goal. He was four yards out on the angle and he shanks it in to the near post.

Oh my word!! Only the woodwork is keeping Lyon at bay as Karl Toko Ekambi cuts inside but his effort hits the base of the post. So close.

Fifteen minutes in and Lyon will be delighted with the start they've had. They've had the better opportunities while Bayern are yet to click in attack.

Can Lyon keep missing these opportunities? It was an unbelievable line from Bayern again.

Cornet should have made that pass for Karl Toko Ekambi. Jerome Boateng did wonderfully well to cut that out. It would have been a certain goal.

Vickysty: How nobody mention the most underrated player of all, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting

Silvio: Every football player gets credit sometimes somewhere. For me, underrated players just don't exist.

    Will: Kalvin Phillips.

Big block by Jerome Boateng as he slides to cut out a Maxwel Cornet square ball.

If that had got through then Karl Toko Ekambi had a tap in.

    Lyon 0-0 Bayern Munich

Anthony Lopes pushes behind an awkward Leon Goretzka effort as now Bayern come forward. The corner is cleared and Lyon break quickly before Memphis Depay flashes a strong effort wide of the far post.

Great tempo to the game but that high Bayern Munich line is looking a a cause for concern for the Germans. Lyon have got in a couple of times.

    Lyon 0-0 Bayern Munich

Lyon win their first corner of the game as David Alaba deflects a cross behind. The ball is played short to Leo Dubois on the edge of the area and his clipped ball is punched away unconvincingly by Manuel Neuer.

    Lyon are looking lively.
