Wilfried Zaha turns nicely on the edge of the box but it's a tight angle. He can't shoot so tries to flick it inside but there's two defenders on him and they come out on top.

    Nice from Palace!

Joel Ward is found in space on the right but he can't pick out a teammate with his cross. It's straight into Rui Patricio's arms.

  3. CLOSE!published at 28 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Crystal Palace

Willy Boly makes an unusual mistake near the left touchline and Palace are all over it. It comes over to Jeffrey Schlupp on the left, he takes a touch or two to get into the box then drags his shot just wide of the far post.

Roy thought it was in! You could hear the screech of frustration from Schlupp afterwards.

Cheikhou Kouyate could not be less ready to come on. He doesn't look in a hurry either. Could do with putting his shirt on...

  7. 'We want to finish the season on a high'published at 20:36 British Summer Time 20 July 2020

    FT: Sheffield United 0-1 Everton

    Sheffield United

More from Chris Wilder, speaking to MOTD: "The players' attitude is incredible. We are going toe-to-toe with established Premier League clubs - just look at the manager Everton have and the players they have and they were delighted with the result and our players were disappointed. That reaction says a lot about them.

"We could analyse the game and look at the lack of quality in the final third but I am looking at what the players give me every game.

"They should not be embarrassed by any sort of performance or result. We want to finish the season on a high and get a result at Southampton.

"It has been a fabulous experience this season and one we want to make sure after Sunday afternoon we don't go out the back door and hopefully we won't."

They'll take the drinks break while Mamadou Sakho receives treatment. Absolutely nothing has happened in the opening 20 minutes!

Actually, it looks like it's his hamstring that's the problem. Crystal Palace are going to have to make an early change, here.

Cheikhou Kouyate is getting ready. Martin Kelly is already out warming up but he's not had a signal from Roy.

  10. 'The players have given me everything again'published at 20:34 British Summer Time 20 July 2020

    FT: Sheffield United 0-1 Everton

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, speaking to MOTD: "It has been an incredible effort. I am looking at the bigger picture, we should not be anywhere near it (the top six). We have lost the last two games - Leicester who are going for the Champions League and a big side in Everton.

"The club and the players have over achieved massively. To have any talk of jumping into the top six means the payers deserve an enormous amount of credit.

"We are delighted as staff we have got the maximum out of the players. They have left everything out there yet again tonight. Yes they lacked that bit of quality in the final third but top 10 guaranteed and another season in the Premier League - that is what we should be reflecting on.

"I'm just disappointed to be honest because I am sure there would be 32,000 supporters now giving these boys a standing ovation. To beat the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and Wolves - I think the supporters would have recognised what we have done this season.

"There was a situation not that long ago when there were 3,000 people left in the ground when we were 12th in League One and the players did a lap of honour."

So far, so good for Palace down that left.

Mamadou Sakho, (not Mohamed Salah as I referred to earlier... It's been a long night) does really well to keep up with Raul Jimenez and gets an important foot in to stop him in the box.

  14. 'Proud to be in Premier League next season'published at 20:27 British Summer Time 20 July 2020

    FT: Brighton 0-0 Newcastle

    Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton manager Graham Potter to Sky Sports: "I think the point is the most important thing. At this stage of the season we can talk about performances but it's about getting the points you need.

"It wasn't a classic by any stretch. I'm so proud of how the players have responded to the lockdown period and how we've approached these games.

"Job done. I'm very proud to be in the Premier League next season.

"We've learned a lot. It's been a unique season in what we've had to deal with. It's been a challenge. We've come through, we're together and we can start planning for next season. It's always tricky, the transition from one manager to another.

"We need time to settle down and analyse what we've done. Post-lockdown we haven't played as well but we've got the points we needed."

Wolves always seem to grow into the game so Palace could do with getting at them early, here. So far, it's a game of "to me, to you" between the two sides.

Nobody has really taken control yet. 11 minutes gone.

  17. 'We've ridiculously overachieved'published at 20:24 British Summer Time 20 July 2020

    FT: Sheffield United 0-1 Everton

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, speaking to Amazon Prime: "Top six should never have been in the equation from the minute we set foot into the division.

"What you try and do in a season is try and get your players and club to overachieve and we have ridiculously overachieved.

"Immediately after the game I am disappointed for the players. we had a real go at it but they just lacked that bit of quality. Sometimes I shake my head when I see the players the opposition can bring on.

"We have overachieved and there are quite a lot of clubs that would want to swap places with us.

"I thought we deserved something from the game. We let ourselves down with the quality at the top end of the pitch."

Adama Traore has a run at Tyrick Mitchell and gets the cross in from the right. He's overcooked it though, and it bounces through to the far side.

Wolves flicking and moving it around. Conor Coady plays a nice floated ball over to Daniel Podence, who tries to pick out Raul Jimenez but Mamadou Sakho is there to head it back to his keeper.

  20. 'I would have taken 44 points'published at 20:20 British Summer Time 20 July 2020

    FT: Brighton 0-0 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce to Sky Sports: "That's our 10th game in 35 days. We have got a lot of tired bodies. We can't rotate like some others can. Andy Carroll is beating himself up, he knows he should have scored the winner.

"I let other people reflect on that [how the season has gone]. It's been difficult for everyone concerned with everything that's gone on. We've done OK [this season]. I would have taken 44 points. I think we were safe when we beat Southampton in March.

"In every interview for 15 weeks I've been asked the same thing [about the takeover delay]. We need a bit of clarity. Until then I'll go to work and see the CEO and plan for the summer. That's all we can do. It's frustrating."
