If Villa do not beat Arsenal, then West Ham are safe.

A draw in either of the Hammers' final two matches would also put their security beyond any doubt.

An Aston Villa win would take them out of the bottom three with just one game to go. Bournemouth live to see another day - they are not down yet.

No matter what the result at Villa Park in the next few hours the fight for survival will go to Sunday afternoon.

What an incentive for Aston Villa to win against an Arsenal side that has reached the FA Cup final, it can let your focus drop a little.

You had to be relentless to catch Liverpool and Man City have not been this season.

They have dropped off, they are an aging side and they need to strengthen.

Just five minutes of the regulation left now as Adam Masina comes on as an extra defender. Watford happy to sign for a 0-4 and keep that goal difference at least level with their rivals.

I wonder what Nigel Pearson is thinking right now?

I am not sure he will be sitting there smiling because he will have some affinity with some of the players.

There is a vacant look on these Watford players, as if they cannot believe what has happened to their club in the last four days.

Watford have an attack! Ederson has to put down his copy of GQ as Danny Welbeck is played in behind the City defence, the Brazilian is out so fast and makes a very good save, smothering it at the feet of the former England forward.

Like Patrick Kluivert's goal against England at Wembley, a goal for Watford now could actually have an impact.

Manchester City have scored 12 Premier League goals against Watford in 2019-20, the joint-most by a team against an opponent in a season along with Blackburn vs Nottingham Forest in 1995-96 and Spurs vs Wigan in 2009-10.

This would've been the result whoever was in charge. If the Watford owners thought they could somehow get a result against a team that have put 14 goals past them in the previous two games, then it is incredibly short sighted to think Mullins could do any better. Was always on a hiding to nothing.

City send on John Stones, have a go up front mate, why not.

If Aston Villa can't rouse themselves to beat Arsenal now after this result I will have some questions.

Watford are 4-0 down and this is what Vicarage Road would look like if fans were even allowed inside.

With 22 minutes to with Riyad Mahrez on and Gabriel Jesus hungry for goals, this could go six or seven.
