City have only had one real decent chance but Watford are closing the midfield down.

City are in the passing mood but they are not able to break the backline yet.

Watford are doing well when Manchester City are going into the middle, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Will Hughes and Tom Cleverley and coming in and closing the space.

They may have problems if City then quickly shift it back out wide.

Rodri sweeps the ball out to Raheem Sterling and we know what's coming, the inverse Robben as he cuts inside on to his right foot and tries to bend it into the far corner. It's well blocked though and someone then gets in the way of Phil Foden's follow-up too.

Good defending. And we'll have drinks.

There's an awfully long way to go of course but as it stands Bournemouth are relegated.

What a save that is, Ben Foster was going one way and Rodri put his laces through it as no-one closed him down.

Ben Foster was in mid-air when he had to change direction.

Here's a rare Watford attack though - and he should have done more with that! A long throw is not dealt with, just flicked out to the edge of the area and Will Hughes chokes his shot tamely wide.

Rodri comes straight down the other end and hits a piledriver which is deflected and Ben Foster flies up to make a good save.

The familiar pattern of utter Manchester City dominance of the ball in these early stages. Mind you, we've seen Southampton and Arsenal come up against this in recent weeks and still win.

Good luck with that one. Troy Deeney has the ball for Watford momentarily but he has three men in blue all over him in a flash.

Watford are set up with the four at the back and five in midfield.

Abdoulaye Doucore is pushing up on Rodri to try and make him force his passes.

Adrian Mariappa, who must have played under about 75 managers, dives into a challenge on Joao Cancelo that has a whiff of penalty about it but he times it to perfection. And wins a goal-kick too.

Joao Cancelo is playing on the left for City today, and he's on the ball early on. Watford have all 10 behind the ball and all within sight of the 18-yard line.
