Manchester United need an equaliser, otherwise they will have to win at Leicester on Sunday.

Wow. Incredible. You know why I knew it was a penalty? The ball was smashed by Declan Rice and it looked like it hit Paul Pogba in the face but he got up quickly. I knew from his reaction it was a penalty

GOAL - Manchester United 0-1 West Hampublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 22 July 2020

    Michail Antonio (Pen 45 mins)

Confidence! And why not, that's eight goals in six games for Michail Antonio, who just takes two steps and sidefoots in.

  7. PENALTY to WEST HAMpublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 22 July 2020

    Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

    Given!

VAR look at it and Paul Pogba has both hands up, instinctive. He stopped the shot and that's a spot-kick!

I think it's handball! Handball. Penalty!

Stonewall penalty, absolutely clear-cut. West Ham have got more chance of going down than it not being a penalty.

If this isn't given as a penalty I will put my microphone down and walk off - which some of the listeners might enjoy!

  9. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 45 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

West Ham roll the free-kick to Declan Rice, who leathers it goalwards. Paul Pogba goes down like he's been punched in the face - but did that hit Pogba's hand?

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 44 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

Tim Fosu-Mensah tackles from the wrong side, dives into and then pulls out of a challenge on Michail Antonio who dives over him to avoid it. TFM is booked despite his protests.

  11. CLOSE!published at 43 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

Good chance for West Ham! Right-back Ben Johnson hoists a massive cross to the back post, high, high into the Stretford sky. Michail Antonio is under it and a combo of him and Victo Lindelof deflect the ball goalwards. David de Gea is right behind it and makes a comfortable save.

  12. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

That's a great block - Brandon Williams gets free on the left and cuts the ball back, Mason Greenwood is well placed to lash in but his shot is charged down by Angelo Ogbonna. Fine defending.

The full-backs are important in an attacking sense for United because of how dense it is - they will provide the width.

  14. Man Utd in controlpublished at 18:39 British Summer Time 22 July 2020

    Man Utd 0--0 West Ham

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Manchester United are dominating possession and territory but so far they have not found a way through West Ham's defence.

There is a lot of intricate passing just outside the box but Paul Pogba and company have not been able to find that killer pass that will give them a clear sight of Lukasz Fabianski's goal.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 37 mins

    Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

A shot on target! Another good save from Lukasz Fabianski who has to react well to shove away a wobbler from Marcus Rashford.

When the ball comes back in Tim Fosu-Mensah scuffs a volley wide at the far post.

Once again Manchester United going sideways and backwards despite all the possession there's no urgency. Has anyone else noticed the lack of cutting edge without Luke Shaw in the team?

    Anonymous (possibly Luke Shaw)

I know he's a young lad, but Brandon Williams looks a liability on that left side, can't pass, doesn't seem to possess a left foot and getting caught out of position.

    Mark, Windsor.

  17. Championship live!published at 18:34 British Summer Time 22 July 2020

This match is failing to add too much spark to your Wednesday tea-time but fear not, for the Championship finale is about to start soon.

All three relegation places are to be decided, up to eight clubs are still not safe. It's classic Champo chaos.

You can follow the build-up right here now.

    Manchester United 0-0 West Ham

Well played Jarrod Bowen, who beats Brandon Williams and gets into a shooting position on the edge of the box but Nemanja Matic shuts the door on him. Fine defending - and it's winded Bowen as well.

Bowen recovers enough to put in a cross which Angelo Ogbonna heads wide.

Nathan House: Typical slow, laboured start from Man United. No urgency, no whizz, no will. Not sure what they’re being told to do but a CL club controls this game and that isn’t happening so far. Quite the opposite, West Ham pose more danger.

Excellent from Declan Rice who breaks through the lines and carries the Hammers into the United half, he finds Mark Noble who then gives it away softly.
