    Barnsley 0-0 Nott'm Forest

    Another Barnsley chance.

Luke Thomas sends in a low effort from 20 yards out that Jordan Smith turns around the post for a corner.

Smith is in today as Brice Samba is out with a knock and if the first five minutes are anything to go by he is in for a busy day.

A reminder, Barnsley must win today or they will be relegated to League One.

    Barnsley 0-0 Nott'm Forest

Barnsley have started the game on the front foot and the first shot of the day goes the way of the hosts.

A quick attack ends with the ball being laid back for Alex Mowatt on the edge of the area but his shot is turned away by Forest goalkeeper Jordan Smith.

The past two winners of the Championship have fared rather differently in the Premier League.

Wolves have gone from strength to strength since going up in 2018, while last year's champions Norwich are already contemplating a return to the Championship.

So then Leeds fans - now that promotion is confirmed, how do you think you'll fare in the top division next season? Where do you need to strengthen and which current players do you expect to flourish at the higher level?

Our second Championship game will be getting under way shortly.

Barnsley, who have to win to have any chance of staying up, make two changes from the 1-0 defeat by Leeds. Marcel Ritzmaier and Luke Thomas come in for Aapo Halme and Cauley Woodrow.

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba is out with a knock picked up at the end of the 2-2 draw with Swansea, so Jordan Smith starts in goal. Sammy Ameobi, who scored both of their goals in that game, drops to the bench.

Barnsley XI: Walton, J Williams, Andersen, Brown, Chaplin, Ludewig, Thomas, Ritzmaier, Sollbauer, Styles, Mowatt.

Subs: Collins, B Williams, Woodrow, Bahre, Schmidt, Odour, Halme, Wolfe, Marsh.

Nottingham Forest XI: Smith, Jenkinson, Worrall, Dawson, Figueiredo, Ribeiro, Watson, Sow, Silva, Da Costa, Grabban.

Subs: Shelvey, Bostock, Ameobi, Yates, Lolley, Darikwa, Benalouane, Walker, Mighten.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 14:56 British Summer Time 19 July 2020

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

Goalless at the break in this game, somehow, despite chances for both sides at either end.

Leeds, to their credit, show no signs of easing off despite being crowned champions without having kicked a ball earlier this weekend.

Derby have work to do, with both sides losing players to injury in a hectic first half.

  9. Postpublished at 45+7 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

Derby captain Wayne Rooney picks up the ball in the Leeds half in acres of space and, with options around him, he tees up Jason Knight instead of getting a shot away himself.

Knight then quickly loses possession without much of a fight and Leeds win the ball back with ease.

    Wasted.

  10. Postpublished at 45+5 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

Pascal Struijk adds his name to the list of Leeds players who've attempted an audacious shot on the Derby goal in this half.

His contribution sees him unleash a shot which Rams goalkeeper Kelle Roos spills before regaining the ball.

  11. Postpublished at 45+3 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

This time it's Derby's turn to break upfield and a long ball in towards Martyn Waghorn ends in Leeds winning a goal kick as he can't work onto it before it crosses the byline.

At the other end, Tyler Roberts enjoys a break of his own, but he shoots wide after a promising run into the box.

  12. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

Ian Poveda has the ball in the net for Leeds, with a lovely finish I might add having found himself unmarked, but he's flagged for offside in the build-up.

No arguments, there. He's a mile off, but good work from Leeds on the counter to press upfield.

Meanwhile, we've got a whopping nine minutes added on to this half, because of the earlier injuries to Tom Lawrence and Gaetano Berardi.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 44 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

Louie Sibley goes into the book for a late challenge on Leeds midfielder Pablo Hernandez.

Television replays show he catches him in the stomach with his right leg on the way to attemping to win the ball.

  14. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

Derby substitute Jason Knight unleashes a fierce shot that's tipped away by Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla for a corner.

The corner then sails into the box and the visitors win a free-kick following a foul as Derby scramble to get on the end of the ball in.

Neither side want to find the net at the minute!

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

    Wayne RooneyImage source, PA Media

Wayne Rooney puts in a wayward cross along the midfield that's intended for his Derby team-mate Jayden Bogle, but there's too much spin and power on it and it rolls past his feet.

Derby look in better shape than they did early on here, Rooney's pass aside, and they do well to reshape as Leeds attack, with Bogle defending a dangerous cross into the Derby box.

  16. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

Derby win a corner, meanwhile, and Wayne Rooney sends it into the Leeds box and Craig Forsyth tries to work on to it at the far post.

However Leeds do well to keep him under pressure and it goes out for a goal kick to the visitors.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 33 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

Luke Ayling comes on for Leeds in place of the injured Gaetano Berardi.

The challenge for the ball from Berardi looked pretty innocuous and it would appear he landed awkwardly.

  18. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

A stretcher is coming on for Gaetano Berardi and his afternoon is over.

Luke Ayling is primed on the sidelines to come on for Leeds.

  19. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Derby 0-0 Leeds

Derby captain Wayne Rooney sends a free-kick almost on the halfway line into the Leeds box.

It pinballs around the box and Gaetano Berardi comes off worse in a challenge for the ball and there's another break in play.

We could be in for a fair bit of time added to this half.

The tempo of this game has slowed down somewhat after a pretty frantic opening 25 minutes.

Leeds are still in control, but Derby are beginning to have more of a share of the possession as this game matures.
