  3. The desperate Donspublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

Here are the Aberdeen fans who caught their side's game today from a cherry-picker truck outside Pittodrie. Some commitment. You can't stop these guys watching their beloved Dons.

Although, they might wish they hadn't bothered after Aberdeen meekly lost 1-0 to Rangers.

  7. CLOSE!published at 16:35 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Hibernian 2-1 Kilmarnock

Martin Boyle almost claims his hat-trick with that devastating pace again catching Kilmarnock out.

Boyle speeds on to a lovely Joe Newell chip, but from eight yards out, lofts the bouncing ball over the crossbar. It was an awkward one to stick away, that.

Still working his way back to full fitness, Christian Doidge comes on for Hibs to join the home side's attack. The Welshman was the Easter Road team's top scorer with 18 goals last season, and will add some physical menace alongside Kevin Nisbet.

Lewis Stevenson has come on too, with Drey Wright and Josh Doig coming off. A few minutes ago, Jack Ross replaced Scott Allan with Daryl Horgan.

    Dundee United 1-1 St Johnstone

    Jane Lewis
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tannadice

I don’t think many were expecting St Johnstone to get back into this game after Michael O’Halloran's red card before the break.

But Liam Craig’s terrific strike has changed all that. You wouldn’t bet against them scoring again now.

Ofir Marciano bails out Paul Hanlon with a fabulous save to stop the Hibs defender scoring an own goal.

  18. Saints suddenly on top...published at 16:22 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Dundee United 1-1 St Johnstone

The depleted visitors are full of beans since levelling the game.

David Wotherspoon drags a volley wide before lashing a second effort on target soon after. Benjamin Siegrist makes a good stop since the shot took a slight deflection and the home goalkeeper has to look smart to beat away Danny McNamara's follow-up effort.
