  1. goal

GOAL - Hibernian 2-1 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Chris Burke

    Kilmarnock goal

Wow! A truly stunning goal from Chris Burke has hauled Kilmarnock right back into this contest on the brink of half-time.

The veteran winger laces one from nearly 30 yards high into the top-left corner. Ofir Marciano didn't have a chance.

A brilliant way to mark his 100th Kilmarnock appearance.

  2. CLOSE!published at 15:44 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    St Mirren 0-1 Livingston

Craig Sibbald goes ever so close for Livingston as he canters towards goal and unleashes a shot from 20 yards that smacks the outside of the post.

  3. Robson to the rescue for Unitedpublished at 15:43 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Dundee United 1-0 St Johnstone

Callum Hendry does well to fashion a chance to level but takes one touch too many and that gives Jamie Robson time to nip in and get a vital touch.

Robson has been prominent in attack for the hosts but that was a smart piece of defending from the left wing-back.

It's a wonderful goal. Another great strike from Martin Boyle. It's certainly something you know this Hibs side have got about them and my concern for Kilmarnock is that for all the domination of the ball they've had in the past 15 minutes, I can't remember Ofir Marciano being worked in the Hibs goal.

  5. goal

GOAL - Hibernian 2-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Martin Boyle

    Hibernian goal

That is a gorgeous second goal from Hibernian and Martin Boyle.

Scott Allan is the architect, picking up possession in his own half, jinking and cruising past a couple of defenders before playing in Boyle on the right angle of the box.

The striker takes a touch to set himself, and rifles low across Jake Eastwood and into the far bottom corner. Clinical.

  6. goal

GOAL - St Mirren 1-0 Livingstonpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Richard Tait

It's a debut goal for St Mirren's Richard Tait, whose diving header finishes off a superb cross from Jamie McGrath.

The defender was still forward after an earlier set play and showed his prowess in front of goal with a lovely headed finish.

  7. ouch!

    Ouch!published at 15:32 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Hibernian 1-0 Kilmarnock

The shoulder of Calum Waters catches Martin Boyle flush in the face as the two players collide in pursuit of the ball.

A completely accidental clash, but it's left the Hibs goalscorer down and hurting for several minutes. He'll be alright to continue, though.

  8. United pressing for a second goalpublished at 15:30 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Dundee United 1-0 St Johnstone

Lawrence Shankland takes aim for the top corner with a curling effort but his shot is blocked by a defender in blue. Dundee United come again moments later and Peter Pawlett's low drive is smothered by Elliot Parish.

Alex Dyer will be a lot happier with the last 10 minutes from Kilmarnock. They've started to get a foothold in the game and build themselves back into it.

You can hear every kick of the ball, every clatter, every shout from the players and the from the dugouts. It sounds like a training game. But it’s actually quite intriguing to hear it all played out without the crowd noise.

The barking of instructions are coming from all directions!

    Hibernian 1-0 Kilmarnock

    Michael Stewart

Kilmarnock are a good, solid side. They keep the ball well and circulate it. The issue they have is that finishing touch in the final third and a lack of pace in the side.

  15. CLOSE!published at 15:20 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Hibernian 1-0 Kilmarnock

More tidy stuff from the home side in Leith. Alex Gogic slaloms forward and lays off Scott Allan. The midfielder finds Drey Wright on the right flank, who floats one in for Gogic.

The new signing's powerful header bounces wide of Jake Eastwood's left-hand upright.

  16. Buddies growing into the gamepublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    St Mirren 0-0 Livingston

Ilkay Durmus' cross is just over the head of St Mirren team-mate Jon Obika.

Decent pressure from the home side after a slow start but Livingston move up field and draw a foul, for which Conor McCarthy receives the game's first booking.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:16 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Dundee United 1-0 St Johnstone

Neat play on the edge of the Saints' penalty area involving Nicky Clark and Lawrence Shankland and Jamie Robson has a close-range shooting opportunity on the angle. Elliot Parish is out swiftly and gets his body in the way.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:14 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    Hibernian 1-0 Kilmarnock

After his howler for the opening goal, Jake Eastwood redeems himself somewhat with an excellent stop to deny Joe Newell.

The English midfielder is picked out neatly by Martin Boyle on the edge of the Kilmarnock box, and swerves one left-footed towards the bottom-left corner. Eastwood leaps to his right and palms clear.

  20. 'There's a real eeriness'published at 15:12 British Summer Time 1 August 2020

    St Mirren 0-0 Livingston

As the game in Paisley got kicked off, the tannoy played out 'Come on ye Saints' to get the home players fired up.

BBC Radio Scotland commentator Brian McLauchlin says, "there's a real eeriness" in the fan-less stadium.

Some early work for Buddies goalkeeper Jak Alnwick to do as he comes off his line to slide on to the ball and quell a Livingston advance.
