It's come from nothing really. It just falls to Christian Doidge, it's a great finish. But it's come from a hopeful ball into the box and a miskick

  6. Dundee United 0-1 Hibernianpublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 11 August 2020

    Christian Doidge

    Hibs goal

Some 65 minutes into the match and we have a goal! Christian Doidge clatters a rising shot past Benjamin Siegrist from 10 yards to put Hibs ahead, having been quickest to react to the block on Josh Doig's effort - that's his second of the season and his 20th for Hibs.

  7. Nisbet thwartedpublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 11 August 2020

    Dundee United 0-0 Hibernian

Paul Hanlon offers a glimmer of hope of a breakthrough as the Hibs defender meets a corner kick, but the loft on the header allows Benjamin Siegrist to collect with ease. Hibs have the next chance too - Kevin Nisbet receiving Martin Boyle's cutback but a poor touch means the danger is cleared.

That's really good play from Luke Bolton. He's positive and has the composure to find Ian Harkes, but Harkes will be disappointed he hasn't hit the target there

  9. Allan on to provide a sparkpublished at 19:22 British Summer Time 11 August 2020

    Dundee United 0-0 Hibernian

Scott Allan, meanwhile, is on for Hibs, with Jack Ross withdrawing Daryl Horgan.

  10. Harkes shoots widepublished at 19:21 British Summer Time 11 August 2020

    Dundee United 0-0 Hibernian

Paul Hanlon lofts a ball from deep on the left into the United box where Christian Doidge rises to meet it. It was asking a lot of the Welshman to do anything with it. At the other end, Luke Bolton does well to find himself free from a marker and he cuts the ball back to Ian Harkes - the midfielder shoots wide of the target. Neither keeper has made a save.

  11. Allan ready to playpublished at 19:17 British Summer Time 11 August 2020

    Dundee United 0-0 Hibernian

Hibs boss Jack Ross speaks to Scott Allan as the midfielder prepares to come on. Allan has the talent to enliven this match...we hope.

  12. Frustration all roundpublished at 19:15 British Summer Time 11 August 2020

    Dundee United 0-0 Hibernian

Having been closed down at the edge of the Hibs box seconds earlier, just as he was about to pull the trigger, Kevin Nisbet shows his frustration by conceding a foul on the touchline, hurling his opponent to the turf.

  13. Hibs change to a back threepublished at 19:12 British Summer Time 11 August 2020

Martin Boyle is going to play in the right wing-back area and that allows someone to play in behind the strikers, which wasn't happening first half

    Dundee United 0-0 Hibernian

United win an early corner but it comes to nothing. In the next chance that comes their way Luke Bolton's header from 12 yards goes well wide.

  19. HT Dundee United 0-0 Hibernianpublished at 18:53 British Summer Time 11 August 2020

Well, that was a tough watch. I'd be doing you a disservice to describe it otherwise. Far too often one team has conceded possession only to win the ball back 15 seconds later from a poor touch or pass by an opponent. Neither goalkeeper has had to deal with a shot on target.

  20. Pawlett ensures the stalemate remainspublished at 18:52 British Summer Time 11 August 2020

    Dundee United 0-0 Hibernian

United midfielder Peter Pawlett rushes back ahead into his penalty box and gets to the ball ahead of Martin Boyle who was racing in to meet the cross by Daryl Horgan.
