Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
Adrian Sporle comes on for Logan Chalmers as United boss Micky Mellon goes for a more defensive option on the left.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
United win a foul as Olivier Ntcham is rather harshly pulled up by ref Andrew Dallas for a high boot. James Forrest comes on for Mohamed Elyounoussi as Celtic manager Neil Lennon looks for the breakthrough.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
Lewis Neilson goes off as Kieran Freeman takes over at right-back for Dundee United.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
Ryan Christie has been at the centre of just about every Celtic move. He drives at the United defence on the right side of the box, cuts back on to his left foot and when you expect him to curl it into the far corner, he hits it too hard and United survive once more.

Quote MessageChristie will be disappointed with the quality of his set-pieces. That's four times now he has hit the first defender.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
United are winning the ball but they simply cannot keep it for long. A slack pass allows Olivier Ntcham to run to the edge of the Dundee United box where he plays it to the left but United show great determination to clear the danger. Ryan Christie is next to attack - his seventh shot at the home goal is wild.

Quote MessageReal positive start to the second half from Celtic. Only Siegrist is keeping this game level.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
Greg Taylor works his way down the left and crosses into the box for Odsonne Edouard who controls the ball and shoots but cannot quite get any power on it: yes, you guessed it - Benjamin Siegrist makes the save.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
It's the left hand of Swiss goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist yet again that denies Ryan Christie. What a beautiful strike by the Celtic forward and matched by Siegrist as he dives to his right and throws up his left arm.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
Celtic get the second half up and running.
FT: Rangers 2-0 Kilmarnock
Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer: "We have come up against a side who are playing well at the moment and are top of the league.
"Obviously we would like more points on the board.
"But the performances have been decent and we need to turn them into results."

Quote MessageIt was noticeable from the first minute that United were leaving a bit on the Celtic players, reminding them they aren't going to have an easy evening. All credit to United so far, their shape has been fantastic and they are content to show Celtic down the sides.
Credit to Dundee United for holding firm at the back. Marks Connolly and Reynolds will be seeing green and white hoops in their sleep tonight. Goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist has been in great form, but he had to rely on the frame of his goal to keep out Odsonne Edouard's volley. United are working hard to stay in the game and have had occasional joy down the flanks. It should be an interesting second half.

Quote MessageUnited are beginning to find it difficult to keep the high press going. That's when Celtic become really dangerous.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
It's almost time up for the first half. Celtic have pushed and pushed but United are, of course, still in this game and will hope they can nick a goal. However, the overwhelming emotion for manager Micky Mellon, you imagine, would be relief if his Dundee United team can withstand these attacks until half-time.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
Odsonne Edouard is next to be denied by Benjamin Siegrist, the Swiss using a strong left arm to keep out the Celtic striker's shot after he had cut on to his right foot from a break down the left. Most of Celtic's attacks are coming down the left.
Dundee United 0-0 Celtic
What a brilliant save by Benjamin Siegrist! Ryan Christie cracks a left-footed shot from about 14 yards that clips the heel of a Dundee United player on its way to goal. Siegrist reacts in a millisecond, diving to his left to palm it away. Wow.
