Ryan Christie has been at the centre of just about every Celtic move. He drives at the United defence on the right side of the box, cuts back on to his left foot and when you expect him to curl it into the far corner, he hits it too hard and United survive once more.

It's the left hand of Swiss goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist yet again that denies Ryan Christie. What a beautiful strike by the Celtic forward and matched by Siegrist as he dives to his right and throws up his left arm.

Celtic get the second half up and running.

Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer: "We have come up against a side who are playing well at the moment and are top of the league.

"Obviously we would like more points on the board.

"But the performances have been decent and we need to turn them into results."

Credit to Dundee United for holding firm at the back. Marks Connolly and Reynolds will be seeing green and white hoops in their sleep tonight. Goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist has been in great form, but he had to rely on the frame of his goal to keep out Odsonne Edouard's volley. United are working hard to stay in the game and have had occasional joy down the flanks. It should be an interesting second half.

It's almost time up for the first half. Celtic have pushed and pushed but United are, of course, still in this game and will hope they can nick a goal. However, the overwhelming emotion for manager Micky Mellon, you imagine, would be relief if his Dundee United team can withstand these attacks until half-time.

Odsonne Edouard is next to be denied by Benjamin Siegrist, the Swiss using a strong left arm to keep out the Celtic striker's shot after he had cut on to his right foot from a break down the left. Most of Celtic's attacks are coming down the left.
