    Celtic 0-1 Ferencvaros

Olivier Ntcham is fouled, and Celtic take a quick free-kick to no avail. Ferencvaros' front three are pressing high and Celtic are struggling to play around them.

It's all a bit ponderous from the hosts, though. As I type that, Ryan Christie is played through by Callum McGregor, but Blazic manages to turn the ball out for a corner.

Ntcham volleys over from the resulting corner.

There are opportunities for Celtic to hit Ferencvaros on the counter-attack here. The visitors are putting a lot of bodies forward.

    Celtic 0-1 Ferencvaros

Celtic just seem like they're lacking sharpness. They're not playing really badly but too often first touches are too heavy, passes are not quick enough, or their pressing is not as urgent as it could be.

  4. CLOSE!published at 30 mins

    Celtic 0-1 Ferencvaros

What a chance. Celtic are growing increasingly menacing. Kristoffer Ajer drives at the Ferencvaros defence, slips it to Greg Taylor whose cross across the six yard box finds Ryan Christie, who can't guide the ball into the bottom corner.

    Quote Message

There's no need to panic for Celtic, but they need to manage the game a bit at the back. Relax and take a bit more care with the final pass, but you have to defend well in these games.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 26 mins

    Celtic 0-1 Ferencvaros

A really poor first touch from Celtic captain Scott Brown gives the ball away, and Hatem Elhamed chops down Somalia to stop the counter attack.

The Israeli gets booked for his troubles.

  7. CLOSE!published at 23 mins

    Celtic 0-1 Ferencvaros

Mohamed Elyounoussi has just had the best chance of the game for Celtic. James Forrest is sent scampering down the right, and his lofted cross is missed by Botka.

Elyounoussi plucks it from the air, but his volley is well blocked by Kovacevic.

  9. CLOSE!published at 20 mins

    Celtic 0-1 Ferencvaros

Olivier Ntcham rifles a shot from the edge of the box into the side netting.

They're passing it about reasonably enough, but Celtic have been largely restricted to long-range attempts so far.

What a start from Ferencvaros in the opening quarter.

Not just their goal, an excellent strike as it was, but their ambition.

Playing three up front at times, with full-backs overlapping to make a five, they are posing Celtic all sorts of questions at the back.

It's crucial Celtic don't lose composure. They need to reset. There's still a lot of time left in the game. It's important they get control again. You've always got a chance at 1-0 but if it goes to 2-0...

  12. CLOSE!published at 15 mins

    Celtic 0-1 Ferencvaros

That's better from Celtic. Greg Taylor surges down the left and feeds Ryan Christie, whose deflected shot goes just past the goalkeeper's right-hand post.

    Celtic 0-1 Ferencvaros

Celtic are playing up to the edge of the box quite nicely, but can't find a penetrative pass.

Ferencvaros are a big threat on the break, and Somalia and Isael surge forward, before Kristoffer Ajer cuts out a return pass between the pair. Living dangerously, though, as Isael gets to the by-line again, but his cross is blocked.

    Celtic 0-1 Ferencvaros

Celtic look a bit rattled by that goal. Ferencvaros are pressing intently and Somalia manages to intercept a pass. Luckily for Celtic, the attack is snuffed out.

But Celtic need to regain their composure.

Nobody came to close him down. Siger had all the time in the world. I would be expecting a midfielder or centre-half to close him down quickly. You can't afford to give a player of that quality time and space

    David Siger

Well that's not ideal. Celtic defend a corner pretty well, but they don't get out to the edge of the box quickly enough, and David Siger fires a dipping strike up and then down into the bottom corner.

    Some hit.

It looks like Ferencvaros' intention is to attack. They are trying to unsettle Celtic with their pressing and they are committing players forward

    Celtic 0-0 Ferencvaros

James Forrest has the first shot on target as he drives one from the edge of the box, but it's a comfortable save.

Celtic look like they are playing 4-2-3-1 with Ryan Christie leading the line.

I still expect Celtic to do the job. They showed last week they can approach the game in the right manner. It might actually suit Celtic that Ferencvaros will come at them and try to win the game. I'm confident Celtic will win.
