    BBC Scotland

You fear a bit for Runavik now. The heart appears to have gone out of them, with Aberdeen emerging from the interval with a real sense of purpose and what looks like a real hunger for a few goals now.

    Motherwell 0-0 Glentoran

Paul O'Neil has a chance to find the target deep inside the Well penalty box.

But the striker can only scoop his volley high in the air.

  3. goal

GOAL! Aberdeen 3-0 NSI Runavikpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    Ryan Hedges

    Aberdeen goal

I did say he was exciting...

He's not had to do much for this one though. The ball is drilled across the box by Jonny Hayes, spilled by Torour Thomson, and all Hedges has to do is poke it over the line.

And you'd suspect that goal has also poked Aberdeen over the line and they'll be into the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

A bit more intensity, a bit more composure, more of a cutting edge and Motherwell have a great chance to go through. Glentoran are a stubborn team, but hopefully Motherwell's class will tell

  5. Main off, Hedges onpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    Aberdeen 2-0 NSI Runavik

Derek McInnes said Curtis Main wouldn't have 90 minutes in him. He probably feels there's no need to risk the striker in this tie any further.

On comes the exciting Ryan Hedges, who immediately sets up Dylan McGeouch on the edge of the box. His effort is well saved by goalkeeper Torour Thomsen.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:49 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

We're off again at Pittodrie, but they're waiting for Glentoran to reappear at Fir Park.

There's a change at Pittodrie. News of that shortly.

  7. Postpublished at 20:47 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    HT: Aberdeen 2-0 NSI Runavik

They were right in the game until the 36th minute, Clive, but that Lewis Ferguson goal knocked the stuffing out of them and Curtis Main looks to have finished the tie off.

The teams are back out for the second half, you'd expect Aberdeen to see this game out comfortably now.

  8. Postpublished at 20:45 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    HT: Motherwell 0-0 Glentoran

It's still all to play for at Fir Park.

I assume there is no way back for the Faroese at Pittodrie, Jordan?

Glentoran have not played many games, but they look fit and have had their chances. It's like the rest of Motherwell's season. They have had their chances, but we just need to see a bit more intensity

  10. Can Well break the deadlock?published at 20:41 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    HT: Motherwell 0-0 Glentoran

Motherwell haven't scored in 225 minutes of football now.

They need to break that sequence tonight to progress as these are one-off ties at this stage.

Glentoran will fancy their chances of an upset the longer it goes on like this.

The post David Turnbull era has not proved to be any more relaxed for Motherwell fans fidgeting on their sofas at home throughout this first 45.

Plenty of the ball has belonged to Stephen Robinson's men, but Dayle Coleing has had two saves to make. At the other end, an instinctive save from Trevor Carson spared the hosts' blushes. Mick McDermott will be looking for more of the same from his team in the second half.

Motherwell do look in the mood when they go forward and the more likely to score, but they need to make sure they don't get suckered at the back like they did against Hamilton.

  12. Postpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

Glentoran desperately survive two goalmouth scrambles, but Motherwell continue to struggle to find their scoring touch.

  13. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 2-0 NSI Runavikpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

So, the complexion of this game changed quite quickly.

Though Aberdeen were on top, they were hardly huffing and puffing - more of a gentle blow in the general direction of the Runavik goal.

But they suddenly found a bit of incision in attack. Andy Considine's cross was well finished by Lewis Ferguson, and just six minutes later Curtis Main tapped into an empty net after great play by Scott Wright.

NSI manager Glenn Stahl said Aberdeen needed to have their "worst game ever" if his side were to have any chance. I've seen them play worse, so it looks like they're up against it.

That looks like game over at Pittodrie now. While the goalscorers will get the headlines, the creators are worthy of praise. Andrew Considine and Scott Wright picking open the stuffy opponents with great balls in.

    Curtis Main

    Aberdeen goal

Lovely play by Scott Wright to dribble past a defender. He picks his head up and sees goalscorer Lewis Ferguson charging into space and rolls the ball across the face of the box.

The midfielder slides for it, narrowly misses the ball, but it rolls through to striker Curtis Main to tap into an empty net.

The Northern Irish side are certainly not overawed.

  17. Postpublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 27 August 2020

    Lewis Ferguson

    Aberdeen goal

Just when it looked like Aberdeen were lacking inspiration, they've managed to make the breakthrough. Andy Considine floats a ball into the danger area from the left corner of the box and it's gently headed in at the near post by midfielder Lewis Ferguson.
