Third time lucky, as two databases tell me different things, but Mason Mount is still out there, it was Mateo Kovacic who came off. Apologies.

Chelsea are seeing all of the ball, whoever is in midfield.

That's nice, real nice from Kai Havertz as he spins out of a tackle and plays in Tammy Abraham beyond the West Brom defence, he squares it for a Timo tap-in but Semi Ajayi clears.

It was actually Mason Mount who was replaced in midfield, and Chelsea are keeping with a back four, with Cesar Azpilicueta at left-back.

Plenty of people getting in touch with their opinions about the Chelsea defence.

The stats do underline their concerns, somewhat.

Chelsea (42) have conceded more goals away from home since the start of last season than any other Premier League side (Norwich, 38).

If Chelsea are serious about being a competitive team this year, they're going to have to get out another £300million and completely revamp the back-line. They have a Champions League attack and Championship defence.

Here we go - Thiago Silva stays on.

Off go Marcos Alonso and Mateo Kovacic, on come Azpilicueta and Hudson-Odoi. Change of system?

Cesar Azpilicueta is warming up with the captain's armband on so not sure if Thiago Silva has been hooked on his debut or just handed it on.

As a Chelsea fan I want a refund for my shirt, absolutely embarrassing.

When you say embarrassing - do you mean the shirt or the performance?

All the money spent on attacking talent but no real solution to the obvious issues with the defending (at Chelsea). Last season should have been the warning with the amount of goals conceded. Schoolboy defending again tonight. Until we get two world-class centre-halves we have no chance of competing for the Premier League title. Same story week in,week out.

So that's Chelsea's title challenge over after just 3 games. Man Utd again relying on VAR for points, and Man City with no strikers. Is it going to be an all Merseyside tug of war for the title?

    Chris, Leicester

Struggling to contemplate how we have spent £220m and completely failed to address any of our major weaknesses from last season. Lampard to be sacked within the month.

    Ossie

So, maybe Kepa wasn't the problem... Or at least, not the only one.

Chelsea have stacks of options on the bench if Frank Lampard wants to change it up.

    Dion Dublin
Former Aston Villa & Man Utd striker on BBC One

It’s about three years that [Danny Ings] has been out with injuries. He’s fit and flying, and when he’s fit and flying he’s as good as anyone.

He doesn’t panic. When the chance arises, that’s when he calms down. He does all the thrills and spills, then he calms down.

You can't ignore goals. If he'll get the chance to go right to the top again I don’t know, but he’s given himself every chance.
