    West Brom 3-3 Chelsea

It was Mason Mount's low shot that led to the equaliser. Must have been 20 players in the penalty area.

Chelsea have fashioned a point after a terrible first half but they don't look too pleased about it.

    West Brom 3-3 Chelsea

Goals, goal, goals! Some awful defending and a scruffy tap-in to end it all.

    West Brom 3-3 Chelsea

VAR checked that for handball in the build-up, it did hit Kai Havertz on the hand but it's allowed to stand. Last season that would have been chalked off.

  4. goal

GOAL - West Brom 3-3 Chelseapublished at 19:21 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Tammy Abraham (90 mins)

Inevitable! So much pressure, it just had to tell. Chuck enough £50m+ attackers at it and one's bound to score.

West Brom just can't clear their lines, Mason Mount threads a low shot through a gaggle of bodies and while Sam Johnstone gets down to save it he can only pop it out for a Tammy Abraham tap-in.

  5. CLOSE!published at 90+2 mins

    West Brom 3-2 Chelsea

Cross comes in, cleared, in it comes again, Sam Johnstone punches it out but only to Timo Werner - whose shot is deflected over!

    Brilliant defending.

What this match shows is West Brom work as a team while Chelsea look like a team of 11 individuals.

    Keith

I know Timo Werner can play on the wing but let's be honest he's an out and out striker, what is it with managers playing top class strikers on the left wing? Frank Lampard has to start playing him up top otherwise he risks being a flop through no fault of his own! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being another one who is one of the most clinical strikers in the world being dumped on the wing just because he's fast.

Sam Field is on for West Brom to waste a bit of time but there will be FIVE minutes added on...

    Last minute. Any more chances?

Timo Werner shoots from range but it's on his right foot and is scuffed rather. On target but not a threat.

Two art references in one game. That's my quota for the season done.

Chelsea are like a Jackson Pollock painting. Clearly there's individual brilliance in there but to most people it just looks like a total mess.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 86 mns

    West Brom 3-2 Chelsea

Card collector Andreas Christensen sees yellow for a rash but sort of wise lunge on sub Hal Robson-Kanu who was threatening to run deep into the Chelsea half.

  13. Postpublished at 85 mins

    West Brom 3-2 Chelsea

Chelsea are playing 3-1-3-3, a sort of cube, and N'Golo Kante is still running midfield on his own.

Does a Chelsea equaliser feel kind of inevitable here?

    West Brom 3-2 Chelsea

West Brom fans might want to skip this next stat.

The last team to be 3-0 down at half-time and not lose was West Ham in February, 2011.

They fought back to draw 3-3 with...you guessed it... West Brom.

He's the only person on earth who has.

Reece James, on a booking, commits a few niggly fouls in a row to anger the West Brom bench but Matheus Pereira is just happy with a free-kick and some clock munching. He's some player.

Kai Havertz has enjoyed a productive 2020 - 28 games, 18 goals, 9 assists in all competitions.

Into the final 10 minutes. Could be more. We even have goals after full-time now.

Matt Phillips, who I didn't even see come on for West Brom to be honest, hits a cannon of a shot from a half-cleared corner and it connects square with a Chelsea face. Oooffff.

West Brom do look more dangerous since Chelsea replaced Thiago Silva.

Why not? Cesar Azpilicueta sees the Albion defence back off and back off so he shoots from 25 yards but it's tame.
