The teams are out, looks a beauty of a day down in north London as well. That longest bar in the world was a good investment wasn't it.

Oh well, you'll be back in there soon. Maybe. Hopefully. Possibly.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers to BBC Sport: "It was a good win for us in the end. I thought we were very dominant and good going forward. It's always tough going to a newly promoted team.

"The first half was a bit slow - we didn’t penetrate enough. Once we found our rhythm, we played very well in the second half. We created chances and looked to attack the gane.

"I’ve watched Timothy Castagne for a number of years – he fits the profile of how I want to work. He's fast, non-stop running – he wants to score but he can defend – good composure. He's a brilliant signing for us. He’ll prove to be a really good asset for us."

On Jamie Vardy: "Great composure. He's a box player. He’ll never be dropping underneath with bright intricate play but he’s a killer in the box. Whether from a cross or penalty he’s got the eye to score. He never looked like missing."

On Wilfred Ndidi at centre-back: "Outstanding. He’s played 60 minutes there in a pre-season friendly. He did play there earlier in his carrer. He's got the profile to play there - he's big with a good leap.

"Even if he’d played there all his life it would be tough coming back from everyone playing different systems with national teams. It would always be difficult to be cohesive after a couple of days training."

On signings: "You need to bring in quality. If we can do that, great. If we can’t, then I’ll work with players we have and help them improve."

    Everton

Hugo Lloris has been at Spurs so long he remembers the last time Everton beat them.

Lloris was in his first few months with Tottenham when the Toffees scored two late goals to win 2-1 at Goodison Park in December 2012.

Since then the sides have met 15 times. Everton haven't won a single one.

Noone likes a grass but I saw a bit of the local ITV news the other day where they said Everton's last trophy was 15 years ago. Someone lost a decade.

    Easily done.

It's been a long time since Everton won a major trophy but there hasn't been this much excitement among the Toffees fanbase for years about the start of the season.

The arrivals of James Rodriguez, Brazil midfielder Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure have raised spirits at Goodison.

Having finished a disappointing 12th last season, a big improvement is expected from Carlo Ancelotti's side.

"What our supporters want, first of all, is for the team to fight until the last minute in every game," said the Italian.

"Second, they want to be competitive, and we are working on this. We can be competitive this season in all the games, for every minute until the last game."

Adam: When the superb Ricardo Pereira returns from injury, where are Leicester going to fit the impressive Timothy Castagne into their team? He had a great goalscoring debut today.

Dan: If we don’t sign a decent striker and an experienced centre back, this is going to be a long season for WBA.

Leicester goalscorer Timothy Castagne to Sky Sports: "First of all we got the win. We didn't get a goal against us and I got my first goal. It was a dream debut.

"It's nice to play with him [fellow Belgian Dennis Praet]. He gave me a very nice assist. I had three training sessions, I still have some things to learn like the runs they make.

"I like this type of play, also the pressure. That's why I came here. I played in the back four in Belgium so I'm quite used to it - although it's not the same level. The coach helped me a lot in these three days."

    West Brom 0-3 Leicester

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a really tough afternoon for West Brom's midfielders Jake Livermore and Romaine Sawyers. They were left in against three great players in Leicester's midfield with no help from the Baggies' forwards or full-backs.

They ultimately ran out of gas after chasing shadows all afternoon which allowed Leicester to destroy them in the second half. The Foxes looked stronger, fitter and if you're being brutally honest - more talented.

Although they worked hard, West Brom look a distance away from a team that looks like it'll be able to survive comfortably. One or two players are trying to step up to the Premier League but they're not good enough.

It could be a long season for West Brom and if you get behind the eight ball in this league, you aren't coming back.

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy on Sky Sports: "It's massive for us, especially with how we finished last season and not having long to turn it around. We are delighted for three points.

"I practice penalties every week so I knew where I would hit those. I've enjoyed playing here over the years and scoring goals so that celebration was for the West Brom fams at home.

"Timothy Castagne was brilliant, he thoroughly deserved his goal and he gets into those areas. Wilfred Ndidi did brilliant in defence."

Salah, Vardy - how about Harry Kane for Golden Boot?

Having recovered from a serious hamstring injury he suffered in January, the England captain banged in five goals in the last three games of last season to help his side make Europa League qualifying.

He loves a goal against Everton, too.

Kane has scored nine goals in his past nine Premier League appearances against them.

Arthur Chandler, by the way, scored 17 hat-tricks for Leicester and 259 league goals in all for the club but missed both penalties he ever took.

So Jamie Vardy is up on that count.

No complaints from West Brom, they're just not quick enough. James Justin does really well, he flicks the ball away and takes the hit.

Jamie Vardy must have been watching Mohamed Salah's hat-trick last night and thinking how he needs to keep up with him - what an emphatic penalty.
