    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

West Brom have been penned well back but they then spring the lively Matheus Pereira, down the left this time, with a lovely through ball.

His ball across is decent and Kasper Schmeichel saves with his feet.

Leicester are looking a lot more dangerous now. They're finding the gaps in West Brom's back line and Dennis Praet more than anyone is picking up space in that number 10 role where he can look to release Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy.

Keep him quiet all you like and then this will happen. Jamie Vardy gets a first sniff from a nice ball popped into his feet, he turns two defenders in one hip movement and then fires a shot at Sam Johnstone.

He was just offside, it turns out, but that was classic Vardy.

  5. CLOSE!published at 32 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

It's all Leicester now. James Justin finds Harvey Barnes again inside the area, he shoots at Sam Johnstone again and then can't control the rebound, shanking it well wide.

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

A better touch and Dennis Praet would have been away and in on goal. Signs of life from the Leicester maroons.

And then an actual chance for Leicester! Praet involved again on the right, his cutback finds Harvey Barnes who smashes it straight at Sam Johnstone, who will be glad to have his first Premier League save in the bank.

A shot! Matheus Pereira cuts out a sloppy clearance from Caglar Soyuncu and takes it on, smashing high and handsome with his left foot, but I applaud the ambition.

  9. 'West Brom have been the better team'published at 14:25 British Summer Time 13 September 2020

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

This start must have given West Brom a lot of confidence. They've been the better team by some distance and they've kept the likes of Harvey Barnes and Jamie Vardy very quiet. But Vardy only needs one chance and if he's on his game, he'll grab a goal.

  10. Clear decision from Anthony Taylorpublished at 14:25 British Summer Time 13 September 2020

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

I can't wait for fans to return to football but not having them does mean you can hear far more of what goes on.

When Darnell Furlong was brought down by James Justin for the recent West Brom free kick, there was a cheeky appeal for a penalty from a home player.

The response was clear. "Outside", said Taylor. And it was.

  11. Postpublished at 20 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

A bit better from Leicester as Dennis Praet makes a drive down the right and pulls the ball back but it's easily dealt with by that West Brom back three. Jamie Vardy loves a goal down that end but he's been a spectator so far.

  12. Postpublished at 17 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

Matheus Pereira lines up the free-kick and it looks good - but hits the head of Harvey Barnes and flicks away wide.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

James Justin is caught out again, the ball is played in behind him and Darnell Furlong is flying up the wing. Justin brings him down just outside the area and he's in the book.

  14. Postpublished at 14 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

Good pressure from West Brom's Matheus Pereira to rob the ball from James Justin but it comes to nothing, he then nutmegs Caglar Soyuncu which is very nice. Hope he called it.

Andrew Dickson: Just switched on the game. I reckon the West Brom players can’t walk past a self checkout without their price appearing.

    I wouldn't say no to a shot.

Albion's front line is fluid, Callum Robinson is nominally the striker but he's drifting all over the place. His cross goes worryingly through the middle of the Leicester defence, it comes to Darnell Furlong and his ball back in deflects just wide.

Grady Diangana then threatens down the other wing. Good start from Slav's lads.

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

TV comms' first dig at these West Brom numbers. They are more or less impossible to read to be fair.

Wilfred Ndidi makes his first rick at the back, a poor backpass gifts Albion a corner.

  20. Postpublished at 5 mins

    West Brom 0-0 Leicester

It is, as expected, Wilf Ndidi at centre-back for Leicester with James Justin at left-back and new boy Timothy Castagne on the right.
