I feel Tottenham need this second goal. I feel there is going to be a golden opportunity for Newcastle. Will they rue these missed chances?

Man City v Leicester (16:30 BST)

Two changes for Manchester City, one of which sees Riyad Mahrez come in for the injured Gabriel Jesus. It is likely, though, that Raheem Sterling will move from out wide into a more central striker role.

In defence, John Stones is replaced by Eric Garcia.

Man City: Ederson, Walker, Garcia, Ake, Mendy, Fernandinho, Rodri, Foden, De Bruyne, Sterling, Mahrez.

Subs: Zinchenko, Steffen, Laporte, Torres, Delap, Doyle, Palmer.

Leicester also make two changes, one of which is enforced. Wilfred Ndidi, who had been operating as a makeshift centre-back, is injured, but City are able to welcome back Jonny Evans.

Ayoze Perez drops to the bench, with Daniel Amartey replacing him in midfield. James Maddison remains amongst the substitutes.

Leicester: Schmeichel, Castagne, Evans, Soyuncu, Justin, Mendy, Amartey, Tielemans, Praet, Barnes, Vardy.

Subs: Maddison, Albrighton, Ward, Iheanacho, Perez, Choudhury, Fuchs.

Newcastle have changed their shape. They have gone to a four in midfield. Isaac Hayden has gone back into midfield and Jamal Lewis is at left-back. That is a sign that Newcastle are going to be a bit more positive now.

How can Newcastle fans not be happy with Bruce after the finish last season and the performance against West Ham? They don't have the players to play beautiful football.

    Archie Brown

Re: Thomas 15:03 - that's unfair on Bruce. Rafa did get Newcastle defensively solid with what he had available, but that won't satisfy the Toon Army, or any other set of fans, forever. Bruce is trying to get the attacking/defensive blend right with what he has available. I honestly don't think anyone else could do better...

Harry Kane will be getting frustrated because that is another good chance by his standards.

He swivels and catches the ball - nine times out of 10 he is finding the bottom corner there.

Spurs remain with just a goal lead and that gives Newcastle hope.

The £40m man Joelinton does well to chase down a loose ball then evade the attention of two defenders, before putting a cross straight out of play.

    Wasted.

That was a clever foul from Joelinton, even if he did pick up the booking. His team was in trouble there because Spurs were breaking.

But do you see why people talk about inconsistency in refereeing decisions.

If he books Joelinton then he has to do the same for Giovani Lo Celso moments later for the foul on Federico Fernández.
