The Leeds players are getting some shooting practice in ahead of kick-off and it's going pretty well as Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips hammer their efforts into the top corner. Don't use all the good ones up, lads!

Last time I saw a Marcelo Bielsa team in the flesh, it was while he was in charge of Athletic Bilbao a few seasons ago at Old Trafford when they tore into Manchester United. The Argentinian doesn't know any other way.

    Hi Luca Delrio in York.

I'm seeing your childish text messages about Leeds defender Robert Koch.

Please stop sending them now because they are not going to be published.

    Thanks

Ad Connelly: I’m a Liverpool fan so it pains me to say this but C, externalalvert-Lewin has been exceptional so far, really looks the business I don’t enjoy watching Kane but his assists have put him in a new light to me and obviously Southgate would pick him anyway & Danny Ings.

Samuel Hagger: Ings has to play for England. His CV just says "scores goals, lots of them".

So, Sheffield United defender Jack O'Connell is out for a while (see 11:39 entry), but the Blades also have problems in attack.

Last season's ninth place was built on a solid defence, but they have failed to score in their opening two league games and another blank today would set a club record.

Forward Lys Mousset is out injured and it won't have gone unnoticed that Callum Robinson, who left Sheffield United to join West Brom in the summer, scored twice for his new club against Chelsea on Saturday.

Leeds, on the other hand, have scored seven times in their first two games.

Sheffield Utd v Leeds (12:00 BST)

    Leeds United

Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa: "We hope to score as many as we did the first two games and concede less.

"Every game in the Premier League is a tough game and we insist a lot on organisation and the structure being correct.

"Sheffield United is a team that is very well run and very well organised.

"Diego Llorente will be an important acquisition for the league."

You can't keep Leeds out of the headlines.

On their return to the top-flight after 16 years away, their first two league games this season have produced 14 goals.

They are the first top-flight side to both score and concede seven goals in their first two matches since Liverpool in the 1932-33 season.

We are hearing that Sheffield United defender Jack O'Connell is out for an extended period with a knee injury which needs an operation.

That's a hammer blow for him, after being tipped for an England call-up last season, and the Blades, who kept 13 clean sheets last season.

  9. 'O'Connell out for the season with knee injury'published at 11:39 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

Sheffield Utd v Leeds (12:00 BST)

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder: "We have to keep going and I would have liked some things to go a bit better and we have a little hurdle to get over today. The players are n good spirits.

"Jack O'Connell is possible out for the season and probably needs a knee operation. He tried to come back and then had to have a scan. We had to adjust pretty quickly and he established himself in the Premier League last season. It is a huge blow for him and us.

"We have had a two outstanding games in the Championship, we have had history as they have nicked our best players over the last 20-30 years but we haven't nicked any of theirs. Everyone knows how big a club they are. A huge club and deserve to be in the Premier League and the Premier League is better with them in it.

"We are going to [go for it] and I don't think Marcelo Bielsa will change his style. The philosophies of both teams gong into the division is going to be consistent to how we played in the Championship. The middle bit has been all right but have to get it right at both ends today."

It's not going too well for Chris Wilder's side at the moment.

Aside from the lack of goals, the Blades have lost five successive league fixtures.

It is their longest losing streak since September 2013, when they were playing in the third tier.

  13. Is it a real derby without fans?published at 11:27 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

Sheff Utd v Leeds Utd (12:00 BST)

    Alistair Magowan
    BBC Sport at Bramall Lane

It's an overcast and chilly day in South Yorkshire as Sheffield United and Leeds United meet for the first time in the Premier League for 26 years.

Usually this is a blood-and-thunder derby which both sets of fans look up as soon as the fixtures are out.

Can it be called a real derby if supporters aren't present? Who knows, but you can be sure Blades manager Chris Wilder, who is also a fan, will be fired up for this one. Especially as his side are looking for their first league points and goals of the season.

Yes, the entertainment factor in the Premier League has certainly been from the top drawer so far this season.

English forwards Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Danny Ings and Marcus Rashford were all on the scoresheet on Saturday, with Callum Wilson set to line up for Newcastle today.

Assuming Harry Kane starts as captain for the Three Lions, which current England frontman is the biggest challenger for his berth?
