That's all from us for today. We got through it people.

I'd suggest you go and detox from this with something a bit less mad and frantic. Like a game of Hungry Hippos.

    Night all.

Rodri needs to grow up, seriously immature and bitter comments. Man City were outplayed and out-thought with no solutions to problems Leicester caused, and simultaneously a lack of drive and creativity at the other end. Some humility wouldn't go amiss...

    Solomon

Just read the comments from Guardiola and Man City.so Leicester did nothing and were lucky? Shows a lack of humility and class.

    John, Leicester

I find it utterly bizarre that Pep and Rodri are questioning Leicester's 'sit-back' tactics when they managed to score FIVE goals against them. Why is it the big clubs seem almost offended when smaller teams operate a successful game plan against them? Wouldn't sport be boring if the most talented team always won!

Couldn't agree more with Robbie Savage. Why do some other pundits and fans keep saying the problem is VAR?! The rule is actually very clear and the process of VAR is confirming the rule. The handball rule however...

  10. 'There were a lot of phone calls'published at 21:18 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

    West Ham 4-0 Wolves

    West Ham United

West Ham assistant Alan Irvine talking to MOTD: "There were a lot of phone calls with David Moyes. Stuart Pearce was inundated. David picked the team and controlled the substitutions.

"All the messages that were passed down were very clear. I have worked with David for many years and I have an idea of what he is looking for.

"All the players and staff have been fantastic. Declan is extremely happy here and is an important player for us."

Qaaltagh: After the first 28 games we're already averaging almost 3.5 goals a game. The entertainment value might be there, but the quality most certainly isn't. You wouldn't have predicted half the results and pretty much most of the score-lines. What is going on?

Totum: Just when we thought 2020 couldn't get any weirder we get only one home win in the Premier League this weekend and it is 4-0 by West Ham United.

  12. 'Moyes is delighted'published at 21:17 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

    West Ham 4-0 Wolves

    West Ham United

West Ham assistant boss Alan Irvine, speaking to BT Sport: "We did it by doing our jobs properly. From the beginning to the end the players did what they had to do. We should have had more goals.

On Bowen: "He has down a great job for us. One of the main reasons we got him was because of his goalscoring record. He has adapted to the Premier League. But even all the way through he was doing a job for us."

On Moyes: "He is delighted. He would rather have been here but he is pleased. It is hard to find negatives."

On the cleansheet: "We have done a lot of work in the last few weeks on our defence, I think that showed today. The line was fantastic today and gave us the platform to play forward."

On transfers: "I don't know the details. I give my opinion about players but don't know the ins and outs of transfers. Every manager wants to strengthen and David is no exception. But you need to strengthen, they can't just be players for the sake of it,.

"Declan (Rice) is extremely happy. He was captain today. He is not somebody with other things on his mind."

    Ex-Wales midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live's 606 phone-in

Lots of people are saying VAR is a joke. It's not VAR that is a joke, it is the law of handball. That is what is a joke - it is completely and utterly wrong. VAR officials are seeing the motion of handball. They are saying whatever they are saying into the referee's ear, telling him to look at it and the referee is making a decision on the field. So it's not VAR, it's the law (that needs changing).

  14. 'The solution is inside'published at 21:07 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

    West Ham 4-0 Wolves

    Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo talking to MOTD: "We played a very bad game with a lot mistakes and West Ham were better than us.

"A lack of concentration, anxiety and we must improve. We must bounce back.

"We defended very bad. We must find a solution in the squad we have, the solution is not in the transfer market."

  16. 'We were very, very bad'published at 21:05 British Summer Time 27 September 2020

    West Ham 4-0 Wolves

    Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to BT Sport: "We played very, very badly and made many mistakes. West Ham were better than us. Since the beginning defensively we were very bad. Every counter-attack was a situation for a goal.

"It is about proving what we want to do, not about transfers. The solution is inside. It is not about that. We need to improve the players.

On the first goal: "The referee decided the ball was not moving (for the free-kick). In the moment I thought we must stop the game. But the game was beyond this moment."

West Ham defender Declan Rice: "When I stood here after Newcastle saying we couldn't have played any poor, now two weeks n a row seen a massive reaction.

"It could easily have been six or seven. I am buzzing with the performance. Our manager has tested positive for the Covid, so the backroom staff have taken over. I can't be any happier for the staff tonight.

"We turn up in the big games all the time. Playing for this badge that is what the fans want."
