Ryan Howard: People are acting like this is a full-strength Man Utd team playing a team of part-timers, rather than basically a 2nd XI playing 3rd in the Championship. Give Luton some respect at least.

This hasn't been amazing from Manchester United to be honest. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said before the game some of his players are still effectively in their pre-season because their summer break was so short.

    Luton 0-0 Man Utd

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think a change would do [Jesse Lingard] good.

He came through the academy and he's had a really good career so far. Last season wasn't a great season and they have now signed Bruno Fernandes who plays in his kind of position.

At this stage of his career he needs to be playing regularly.

It is a chance for him tonight to showcase his ability.

    Luton 0-0 Man Utd

Luton striker Danny Hylton chases onto a long ball but the offside flag goes up.

There's no VAR in this game. If this was in the Premier League the officials would have let that run its course and then put the flag up and checked it.
