GOAL - Luton 0-1 Man Utdpublished at 21:00 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    Juan Mata (44 mins)

Juan Mata steps up... and sends James Shea the wrong way. It's a well taken penalty - but harsh on Luton.

Re Ryan Howard - second in the championship is rather clutching at straws after 2 games. United's problem is that for all their attacking talent, their manager doesnt have tactics. He just puts players in their positions and asks them to play. When teams sit deep and their pace is negated, they inevitably cant break them down, bar a piece of magic. Wont finish top 4 cos Olly isnt a good manager.

    Ben in Bedford

The lack of quality players being brought in to Man Utd is just as worrying as the fact we're paying the wages of so many incredibly poor quality players for so long (see Phil Jones and JLingz)

    Luton 0-0 Man Utd

United play a short corner and Jesse Lingard hits a hopelessly high ball over everyone.

  9. goal

GOAL - West Ham 3-1 Hullpublished at 20:57 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    Mallik Wilks

The long break serves Hull better, who get a goal back through sub Mallik Wilks. It is down to his persistence, as he latches on to a long ball and finishes low from an angle.

Twenty minutes to go. Something for West Ham to consider.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    West Ham 3-0 Hull

Mbule Longelo Emmanuel replaces Ashby, who is thankfully on his feet and in better shape than a few minutes ago. Hopefully it is not a serious injury.

Everytime the camera pans to Ole he just looks like someone who has no answers and is out of his depth. I'm starting to think maybe he is out of ideas

    Matt

No middle ground with Utd, a good performance and it's only Luton, anything else and 'Ole has to go' - perspective needed - this team got to the semi last season - give them a few games before writing the season off

Been a while since we had a chance at Kenilworth Road to be honest. Very laboured.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    Newport 3-1 Watford

Newport County are into the League Cup fourth round for the first time in their entire history.

It's Morecambe or Newcastle at home next week for the Exiles.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    Penalties it is.

  15. ouch!

Postpublished at 20:55 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    West Ham 3-0 Hull

This is nasty. Brandon Fleming piles into young Ashby in an aerial challenge which leaves the latter on the floor and in clear pain.

It is yellow for Fleming and a stretcher for Ashby, who has impressed so far.

  16. Postpublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    West Ham 3-0 Hull

West Ham are in total cruise control. Hull are grafting, but the Hammers have so much more to give should it be needed. It won't be.

  17. INJURY TIMEpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    Newport 3-1 Watford

    Four minutes added on.

  18. Postpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

Into four minutes of added time at West Brom. The shootout looms.

  19. 'Luton look the sharper side'published at 20:50 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    Luton 0-0 Man Utd

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

    Manchester United don't look sharp.

They started the game ever so well but Luton look much sharper.

That's maybe match fitness, as we know, but these players at the moment don't look sharp and Luton look the better team.

Luton have stayed in the game and they have grown into the game.

  20. RED CARDpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 22 September 2020

    Newport 3-1 Watford

It gets even worse for Watford as Stipe Perica, who made his debut last week, is shown a straight red card for violent conduct against Brandon Cooper.
