It's great bringing on Andy Carroll but there's no point if Newcastle aren't getting any crosses into the box. Jacob Murphy needs to put more crosses in.

And here's a first glimpse of Ivan Toney as he scampers down the left to stretch the Newcastle defence before turning back and helping the ball inside, but a rare miscue from Josh Dasilva sees the move fizzle out.

Nothing more than Brentford deserve! Absolutely fantastic. No one was tracking Josh Dasilva, he just came in, ghosted into the 18 yard box and he had to hit it on the half volley. It was a difficult execution. Kept it low, kept his eye on the ball. Dasilva best player on the pitch tonight puts Brentford 1-0 up!
