Fletch: LFC fans jumping the gun on this a bit. Good scoreline so far but it's Atalanta, not Bayern, and they've made it very easy for LFC. Also, Jota is a great signing but let's wait at least a couple more games before we label him the GOAT eh lads

    Real Madrid 2-1 Inter Milan

You: Where are the updates from the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium?

    Us: There are no updates.

There haven't been any shots on or off target in the 15 minutes since the restart. A few bookings and blocked shots, but nothing worth talking about.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 62 mins

    Atalanta 0-5 Liverpool

The game has well and truly gone but that would have been a very nice consolation for Atalanta.

Brilliant touch and strike from Duvan Zapata, he hits a swerving, whirling shot from the left corner of the area and it smashes away off the inside of the post. Not sure how that stayed out!

  4. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Manchester City 1-0 Olympiakos

Manchester City have been as sloppy since the restart as Liverpool have been electric.

Again, they give the ball away in a dangerous position, Mohamed Camara flashes in a cross and John Stones slices the clearance up and away. Olympiakos looking as dangerous as anyone.

Ricology: By far, the best #LFC, external away performance ever, maybe second to that 3-1 win against Bayern.

Ed: it appears that Atalanta defenders have been so concerned pre game with Salah and Mane that they didn’t realise that Jota was the man on form

Stuart: What a baller Jota is the man is on absolute Fire! Masterstroke by Klopp and the transfer committee yet again!

    Atalanta 0-5 Liverpool

Diogo Jota has scored the 10th hat-trick in the European Cup for Liverpool, which is a surprisingly small number isn't it?

Rush must have got at least one.

    Manchester City 1-0 Olympiakos

Phil Foden! Dear oh dear the City man plays a shocking pass from the edge of his area, he tries to find John Stones and slices it straight to Mathieu Valbuena.

He's only about six yards from goal and puts it wide!

    WHAT a chance.

  9. 'Kevin de Bruyne is not quite at the races'published at 21:11 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Manchester City 1-0 Olympiakos

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Olympiakos have thrown numbers forward and are trying to catch Man City on the break. It looks like a change of style from Olympiakos in the second half, they're really trying to get men forward.

City haven't quite got into gear yet, Kevin de Bruyne he's not quite at the races - we're used to him fizzing passes in and he almost looks lazy tonight. Pep Guardiola puts his head in his hands on the sideline he just doesn't seem happy with his team's performance tonight.

  10. goal

GOAL - Atalanta 0-5 Liverpoolpublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Diogo Jota (HAT-TRICK 54 mins)

I think Atalanta might have to rethink their gameplan of leaving 65 yards of space behind the last man for Liverpool's front three to run into, if they're not careful this game could get away from them...

Ruthless from the six-time champions and a hat-trick for Diogo Jota! He's played through on goal by Sadio Mane, goalkeeper Marco Sportiello comes out, can't get there and Jota can go past him and slide in left-footed.

    Atalanta 0-4 Liverpool

As it stands, this is the biggest European win for an English side away to an Italian side since Inter 1-5 Arsenal, November 2003.

I recall a certain Thierry Henry being mesmeric on that occasion.

  12. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Manchester City 1-0 Olympiakos

Liverpool have well and truly put their game to bed and City could be punished for failing to do the same.

Olympiakos have a corner which causes problems, Mohamed Camara goes up for the header and doesn't make a telling connection on it.

  13. goal

GOAL - Atalanta 0-4 Liverpoolpublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Sadio Mane (49 mins)

Goodness me, this is a real statement now from Liverpool! The front three have all scored, Mo Salah this time turns creator, slotting Sadio Mane away with a cracking pass and the former Southampton man brings out the lob wedge, dinking over the keeper's head and in.

    A thumping.

  15. goal

GOAL - Atalanta 0-3 Liverpoolpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Mo Salah (47 mins)

Ridiculous! You've got to leave someone back at a corner surely. Naive from Atalanta, their corner is hoofed clear and Mo Salah can run in on goal from well inside his own half.

Still plenty to do of course, but once he sprints to the edge of the other area and works it on to his left foot, there's little doubt that he'll find the corner of the net. And he does!

  17. 'Pep wants to ring in the changes'published at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Manchester City 1-0 Olympiakos

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Manchester City are in complete control - the only way that they'll throw this away is from them being lazy, lethargic in their attitude, or just general complacency. Pep Guardiola is just walking up and down the touchline, pacing, whenever there's a misplaced pass his arms fly up in the air and he seems so frustrated. You can just see that he wants this game put to bed so that he can ring in the changes ahead of the Liverpool match at the weekend.

  18. Own goal puts Bayern aheadpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

Red Bull Salzburg 1-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have turned it around in Austria. Red Bull Salzburg took an early lead, but the European champions have now gone 2-1 ahead just before half time.

Their second goal comes when Robert Lewandowski releases Thomas Muller and, from the right side of the penalty area, he drills in a cross which bounces off home defender Rasmus Kristensen, under pressure from Lewandowski, for an own goal.

Bayern are now heading for their third win in three games.

  19. Postpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2020

    Manchester City 1-0 Olympiakos

Olympiakos have not had a single touch inside the Manchester City box. So far so good for John Stones and co.
