Never the heavy metal football under Klopp, this is thrash metal from Borussia Dortmund tonight.

Erling Braut Haaland and John Stones grapple like they are pogoing for position at a gig before City go on the attack.

Oleksandr Zinchenko's cross drifts towards the Dortmund goal and the keeper tips over. Pressure still being piled on...

Kevin de Bruyne's set-piece delivery has not quite been A-game yet. The free-kick ends up in the hands of Dortmund keeper Marwin Hitz and a couple of corners moments later can't find a City head.

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Liverpool - just as they did in the first half - have a huge chance seconds after kick-off. Trent Alexander-Arnold plays a clever pass into Roberto Firmino but he shoots the ball into Thibaut Courtois's torso from a tight angle.

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Manchester City (agg 2-2)

While we eulogise over Jude Bellingham, we need to remember what sticky situation City find themselves in here.

This is the one for Pep. The tournament he was brought in to win.

Forty-five minutes for his team to this tie around and keep their dreams of the quadruple alive.

Are you backing them to do it? Thumbs up or thumbs down.

Very organised performance from Dortmund, there is a little bit more to see from City to come which they will have to be wary of.

Dortmund are really taking this game to City.

Klopp's blind spot again will see us out. No Jota, no Shaq, no Thiago. Poor again.

Bellingham has stood out tonight, playing like he has played for years and years, he is one of these players you have to keep your eyes on as he will get better and better. He is 17 and he's scored against City.

I've not seen one City player who is going to make a difference at the moment.

  15. 'All to play for'published at 20:51 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

HT: Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Aston Villa and Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool have given it a good go. They should probably be a couple of goals ahead when you think of the early chance for Mo Salah and the chance for him at about 40 minutes. He had an opportunity to find the bottom corner and then straight after that Gini Wijnaldum had another chance. The good thing is they're creating opportunities and they didn't do that in the first leg. It's all to play for in the second half.

Real Madrid will be happy and relieved with that goalless half-time scoreline. Liverpool's poor finishing has let them off the hook.

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:48 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Manchester City (agg 2-2)

The answer to that earlier question is... no. Referee Carlos del Cerro Grande toots his whistle as soon as the click ticks 45.

    What a half!

England teenager Jude Bellingham's thronker separates the sides and puts Dortmund into the Champions League semi-finals as it stands.

Those three words are always a colossus caveat.
