  1. Off the line!published at 20:35 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Manchester City (agg 2-2)

Dortmund have been forced back into their half now as City take control.

Can this pressure tell? It almost does!

Phil Foden hooks a ball back into the Dortmund box after showing the control, deftness and elasticity of a ballet dancer to pluck out it of the air.... Riyad Mahrez is running on and shoots... blocked on the line.

And it is that man, or technically, boy, Jude Bellingham...

  2. Postpublished at 20:34 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Another decent bit of possession for Liverpool, who are passing and probing and trying to find a way through a bank of white shirts.

Khan Karn: Firmino is just not the same player anymore. The amount of times he has given the ball away is crazy. Wijnaldum also anonymous at the moment

Will Broom: Well that settles that. Bellingham off to City in the summer then

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Aston Villa and Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Liverpool with another wasted opportunity again, the ball to Andy Robertson on the left was poor from Sadio Mane because you want to attack the man and draw him out of position - the ball was too easy. Poor play from Mane and in such a good position.

  5. Postpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Nat Phillips lofts a ball into the mixer but Sadio Mane and Eder Militao clash heads and Real get a free-kick.

  6. Postpublished at 20:31 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Manchester City (agg 2-2)

City win a free-kick in the left channel... Kevin de Bruyne is lining this up. Cross or shot?

Think it is the latter as the City skipper thumps in the set-piece and Dortmund counterpart Marco Reus gets his head in the way.

That forces a corner, but De Bruyne's near-post delivery towards Rodri goes into the side-netting.

  7. Real trying to cool things downpublished at 20:30 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Liverpool's fierce tempo had put Real Madrid on the back foot but Zinedine Zidane's side are now trying to enjoy periods of possession just to take the heat out of the situation and get a foothold at Anfield.

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Time to hit you with a cliche but the next goal in this tie is so, so crucial.

Andy Robertson's pass into the box is cut out by Luka Modric. Quite end to end now.

Ok, in Jan who had Chelsea as the only English representative in Semis? Be honest!

    Reza

Oh dear. Is this going to be another City "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory?".

Liverpool counter, can Roberto Firmino play Mohamed Salah in down the right? Noooo, he underhits his pass. Waste.

  11. Postpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Toni Kroos plays a crossfield ball... to nobody. He's got less than 75% passing accuracy so far.

  12. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:28 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Manchester City (agg 2-2)

If anyone is going to get City back into this then you'd imagine it would be Kevin de Bruyne.

The City skipper dispossesses Mateu Morey on the edge of the Dortmund area and spanks a fierce shot past the keeper... but it crashes against the crossbar.

The ref blows and points to something a few seconds later... just a goal-kick.

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Manchester City (agg 2-2)

Halfway through the first half, then. Let us remind what that goal means for the tie: Dortmund would go through on away goals.

City have a flurry of corners as they search for an equaliser. Riyad Mahrez lays back to Phil Foden who finds Kyle Walker. He's not going to line it up is he? He is, you know!

If the Yellow Wall was in there tonight then someone in the back row would have got their hands on it.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson is booked for his part in a mini melee.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:25 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Liverpool 0-0 Real Madrid (agg 1-3)

Oh here we go. It's all kicking off at Anfield. Casemiro catches James Milner with a late sliding tackle down by the touchline. Jurge Klopp and his bench are furious but it's only a yellow card. There's a quick VAR check and they decide it's not a red card.

Real midfielder Casemiro is down in a heap after being caught by a Fabinho sliding tackle. He's up but he's hobbling.

Bellingham's finish was so good, his connection so pure, that he almost popped the ball.

OK, maybe not. But something has. A brief pause to swap balls lets us see the England midfielder's goal again. You could watch it over and over.

Certainly going to be in the England Euros squad, right? Would you have him in the team?

Another mistake, Liverpool have been architects of their own downfall in this first half with Ozan Kabak earlier on and this time Nat Phillips. Karim Benzema wins the ball and drives at the defence and I think it does take a deflection onto the post.

The armchair football fan: Jude Bellingham that is a finish. Exceptional.

Paul Garnett: Denied a perfectly good goal last week...this week a delightful finish

  20. Postpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 14 April 2021

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Manchester City (agg 2-2)

Kevin de Bruyne flies forward with the speed of a 200m runner. Can he hand over the baton smoothly? Nope. The move breaks down and Dortmund keeper Marwin Hitz gathers to clam down the situation.
