Man City 2-0 PSG (Agg: 4-1)

PSG need three goals in 26 minutes.

They've had a job done on them tonight. An intelligent, incisive job - part pragmatic, part ruthless.

Nobody can accuse Pep of being naively wed to one way of playing after this.

    Riyad Mahrez

MAN CITY ARE GOING TO ISTANBUL!

City pick their moment and rip PSG apart. Fiden is found wide left and his low cross is perfect for Mahrez to hammer his second of the night into the roof of the net.

What a night this is for Pep and his lads.

Ben: Ruben Dias, the brick wall.

Liz: Dias. Smashed twice in the face by shots and not even FLINCHED. What a king. PSG players rolling around after the tiniest touch and Dias just blinks and moves his hair out of his eyes. The absolute boss.

Man City 1-0 PSG (Agg: 3-1)

Mbappe's presence is purely symbolic here.

Moise Kean and Julian Draxler come on, with Herrera and Icardi departing. Big throw of the dice.

    Massive block. Again!

Herrera goes for an ambitious, acrobatic volley from the edge of the box and Dias hurls himself in front of it to stop Ederson being tested.

    Brilliant.

Amrul: I have been well impressed by Stones and Mahrez this season, they along with Foden have proven Pep they are good enough for regular first team action. Bernardo Silva's career has gone slightly backwards.

I've seen some games of football which I've confused with basketball and this is one of them. It's all attack - you attack then we attack and the quality of the football is getting better. They're not giving the ball away as much as they were in the first half. There's a few more half chances being created by PSG and City have to be on thier toes.

Why is Mbappe even on the bench? If he's not on by now, it's a pointless move.

How much did Zinchenko cost City I hear you ask - a mere £1.7m. Midfielder moulded by Guardiola into a world class left back.

Is there just the smallest sign now that PSG's belief is beginning to fade. Passes are going astray, prompting heads to drop.

My favourite moment of the night so far is that hug. Proper show of emotion.

That is proper togetherness. Kyle Walker making a bit of a mistake but together they stopped the danger.

The City defenders are hugging each other in the box. And rightly so. Zinchenko and Dias both track Neymar, after a Walker error gives him an opening in the box, and dive in to block his shot.

    Celebrating like they've scored.

For a moment, it looks like Phil Foden is going to be the man to seal it. He charges clear before seeing his shot saved by Navas. It's a fine block, but unnecessary as the flag goes up straight after for offside.

Paredes tries to con the ref in the box during a corner, dropping at the slightest touch in the back from Dias.

Bjorn Kuipers doesn't fall for it. He's done a fine job so far.

Icardi has done next to nothing so far for PSG.

Apologies in advance for prompting his hat-trick.

Another block from a City defender. Ruben Dias this time to stop Di Maria's shot. Dias and Stones won't be used to all this. But they're doing an unfamiliar task superbly.

Next goal so important in this one. If Man City get it PSG will lose control and get a couple sent off. If PSG get it we'll really see what City are made of.
