Chelsea goalscorer Mason Mount, speaking to BT Sport: "I can't put into words. Great performance tonight.

"It was a tough, tough game. They're going to come and give it everything but we worked hard. We should've probably had about five! But the most important thing is we won tonight. We want to go into every game winning it.

"It was one nil but that really didn't matter because if they score, they were back in the game. To get that one late on, you can see by the celebrations, it was a massive goal for us and gave us breathing space in the last five minutes.

"We gave everything and we had that desire to win first half. We had a couple of opportunities where we won the ball and should've scored but we got the one late on and it's great.

"We haven't won nothing yet. Hopefully we've got two massive cup finals and hopefully we can win."

On Timo Werner scoring the first goal:"I said to Timo 'it must've felt like an eternity for the ball to drop down!' We're all buzzing for him."

On the prospect of facing Manchester City in the final: "We've got them on Saturday. We've played three times already this season, so it will be a stunning game."

I imagine some Chelsea lads will get some stellar numbers.

Hazard might want to skip having a look. Like he cares!

I've just seen some bizarre scenes. Eden Hazard is laughing with Kurt Zouma and Edouard Mendy. It's a Champions League semi-final. I know they are his friends but I can't imagine Cristiano Ronaldo coming off the pitch for Real Madrid laughing. That's how laid back Hazard is. I'm not criticising him. I just find it a bit of a weird watch.

I'm not sure about that man of the match verdict. I'm going Kante.

Outstanding. No handshake from Zidane towards Thomas Tuchel. He will be bitterly disappointed. Real Madrid didn't turn up.

Kai Havertz without a shadow of a doubt is man of the match. This has been his best game in a Chelsea shirt. He's dominated Sergio Ramos.

This felt like the end of an era for Real Madrid.

Lots of players out there who have served them superbly over the years, but they look spent.

Florentino Perez should start worrying about his own house.

Jim Harrison: Kante has been a force of nature, at the heart of everything. Seeing him against De Bruyne will be fascinating.

A Man City-Chelsea final is a tough one to call. Both teams have the talent to undo the other. Looking forward to that.

Forget the missed chances, Chelsea have done a job on Real there. The Spanish side fielded a worrying-looking starting XI, but they barely got a look in.

Yes, Chelsea have been wasteful. But beyond that, this has been a superb display from the Blues. They've rarely looked in danger, and like Man City last night they have done what was required.
