Not seen much from Karim Benzema yet, but he tries to get on the end of cross from the right. It is just a yard too high for him, though, and the presence of a Chelsea defender ensures the French striker has no chance.

Steve Stone's Mullet: Timo Werner is so good and I think it's a matter of time until he bags a hatful. I love his desire to keep going and going and attacking the right areas.

He's had some rotten luck Werner but he has to be staying onside there. But if Chelsea keep playing like this, matter of time till they do score.

Looks like there has been a bit of a coming together between Chilwell and Vinicius Junior. It was shoulder to shoulder on the touchline after the ball had gone. The ref has a word with the pair and we go on. Smart work by the official. He let the game go on and then dealt with it.

    One to watch, though.

That has to encourage Chelsea. In fact, the last 10 minutes will be a boost for the Blues. They have had Real worried.

One Chelsea goal leaves the Spanish side with a mountain to climb.

That was ever so tight. Timo Werner shouldn't be offside, he shouldn't be sprinting in the 18 yard box being offside. He needs to try and put the brakes on.

Just offside. He's got to work harder there to stay onside - especially with VAR.

Oh, Chelsea thought they had it!

Werner finds the net from close range following Chilwell's low cross. But the German striker moved too early and is caught offside.

It's unforgivable really. He should have been able to stay on.

Richard H: Chelsea are playing their way out nicely when they get possession. They just need to do more with in the final third. Story of Chelsea's season.

People were saying it's not the Real Madrid of old when Liverpool played them in the last round, but this team know how to win Champions League titles and it wouldn't surprise me if they add another one this year.

It feels like a really open game all of a sudden. The last five minutes, Real Madrid have been happy to keep hold of the ball but when Chelsea go forward, there is a genuine threat.

Chelsea have pressed Real really well high up the pitch in the last few minutes. They almost set up another attack with Hazard losing out to a man in the Blue.

Encouraged, the Blues come again and Havertz is just beaten the ball in the middle by his marker from a Werner cross.

Brilliant work from Mason Mount. He got inside the 18 yard box and he stood Eder Militao up - awful defending from Militao. He wasn't side on, he was square on, which made the job easier for Mount to take him on.

Chelsea's first effort on goal comes from the unlikely source of Antonio Rudiger. It is a decent go too, with his dipping shot forcing a diving save from Courtois.

Soon after, Mount gets in down the left and sees his low cross kicked away by the Real keeper.

Chelsea can't get the ball at the moment. It's been a very bright start from Real Madrid. Their passing has been crisp and really slick.

Real continue to dominate possession. They shift it around neatly in the Chelsea half but the home side aren't giving them space to shift into near the box. Kroos goes for goal from range as a result and Mendy is right behind it.

The visitors looking much more comfortable at the moment, though.

It's tight already but the player getting space for Chelsea is Mason Mount. He is a little bit higher - I thought he was going to play in a three - so Casemiro might have to take care of him, but he is free and open at the moment.

Chelsea's first little sight of goal is snuffed out by Ramos.

It is Vinicius Jr. who has his pocket picked by Chilwell, but with Werner then found, the Real captain comes across to ease him away from danger.

It's vital for Madrid to have Sergio Ramos - but it depends on how long he will last as to how effective he will be. When you come back from an injury and haven't played, you can get through a 90 minutes because the adrenaline will completely take over, but it's the games after that you tend to struggle.

Another late Chelsea tackle, this time Havertz on Nacho. There was contact, but maybe not quite enough to warrant the yelping and rolling around from the Real man.

Real seeing far more of the ball in the early stages. Chelsea content to sit deep and keep the visitors in check.

Aidan: I'm not nervous about playing Madrid today, I'm nervous at the prospect of playing Manchester City in the final & bottling it... I'm having PTSD from our UCL final against United.

Nothing against Chelsea but I hope it's not them tonight. If City are to lose the final it would hurt too much losing it to a PL rival like it did with Spurs and Liverpool in previous CL campaigns.

The voice of returning Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is already prominent as he shouts advice to his colleagues - with a bit of "One Man And His Dog" whistling thrown in for good measure.

Not everyone's favourite but what a defender, one of the greats of the modern era, what a winning career and Real manager Zinedine Zidane will be counting on him tonight.
