It's a difficult one for the Republic of Ireland getting beaten at corners. They are committing more and more men forward, so when it comes back out, the ball just keeps on coming. It's just wave after wave and this time, Sancho on the left with acres of space and a great strike.

There was a five to 10 minute spell before England's first where Republic of Ireland had looked to have got the measure of the Three Lions' defence and looked capable of taking the lead but since Harry Maguire's goal it has been all England, who are looking firmly on course to secure a first win over their opponents since 1985.

It's a great strike and a great goal by Jadon Sancho. He's in acres of space on the left. He's got a difficult angle but he manages to do a little trick and Jeff Hendrick - he's really, really scared, doesn't want to put a foot in, steps back and that's all he needs. Dominic Calvert-Lewin picks Shane Duffy's pocket inside the Republic of Ireland box but Duffy recovers well to only concede a corner.

It is another good Mason Mount delivery, whipped in with pace, but this time the visitors are first to it and clear.

Jack Grealish is popping up everywhere in the final third so far, it is exhausting just watching him.

After setting up that Dominic Calvert-Lewin chance from the right, he's winning a corner on the left this time but Mason Mount's delivery is cleared.

England are well on top now.

Harry Magurie had a horrible half hour in England's last game against Denmark but he could be two goals to the good in this one but this time his header is tipped over.

Oh, good move from England as Jack Grealish and Reece James combine, the former slipping the ball through the defence for James, whose cutback is hit first-time towards goal by Dominic Calvert-Lewin but his shot is deflected behind for another England corner.

The goal will annoy Republic of Ireland boss Stephen Kenny. Before the goal was their best passage of play and they were finding their way into the game. One good pass from Maguire to Mount created England's corner and then from there, it was really too easy for England.

England are immediately on the hunt for a second and Jack Grealish fancies taking on the entire Republic of Ireland defence, optimistic even accounting for his excellent club form and he is unsurprisingly closed out on the edge of the box.

We talked before about set pieces, we talked about people not getting tight and it's Harry Maguire who just got up higher.

Harry Winks and Jack Grealish had so much time, they almost had a conversation on the edge of the box as to who should cross it in. Strong header by Maguire and just nestles in the far corner.

If making him captain before the game made him feel good, then a goal will make him feel even better.

The Republic have had moments of danger so that will be a real frustration for them.

A scrappy punch from Darren Randolph almost proves costly as the ball falls to Bukayo Saka but his shot from close range is closed down by Randolph, who instead concedes the corner.

Tyrone Mings is called upon again to cut out another good ball behind the defence from Republic of Ireland. The visitors are having a good spell at the moment.
