Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips speaking to Sky Sports: "We’re just happy to get a point against a really good side. We knew they have weaknesses defensively, which you don’t get too often when you're playing good teams like that.

"To be fair a lot of our play goes through me, but they tried to catch me out so I knew I had to change my game and get on the ball in different ways. We did that in the second half.

"I think we gave them a little bit too much respect in the first 20 minutes. We came out in the second half, made a couple of tackles and counter-attacks and had a real go."

Without doing an Arsene Wenger, I didn't see the incident. I think it was Stuart Dallas who was booked but I didn't actually see the challenge. Bad one?

Abu: So VAR saw a studs-up challenge down the Achilles and thought, "nah...thats ok”.

Rob Brown: Are we going to ignore the straight red card on Bernardo? From behind? Through the ankle? Studs up? Come on... Leeds deserve the draw but that was filthy.

Life long City fan, but have to say Mahrez and Mendy have to go. Dean is useless and the VAR official should lose his job. Add Sterlings greed and lack of ability and thats why City drew tonight.

    Duncan, Cheshire

Why did Bielsa look gutted?! His team played brilliantly and got a good draw at home to City. It's an improvement on the result they got against Liverpool.

Ederson had to make six saves for City tonight. And he was at fault for the goal. Proper goalkeeper's day out.

What a good game this was. City gave Leeds a real lesson early on and had enough chances to win the match in the first 20 minutes but Leeds hung on in there and created real chances in the second half.

Had another look at the Raheem Sterling penalty shout. I think it was actually Liam Cooper who put in the challenge and I think VAR will feel that it was not a clear and obvious mistake by Mike Dean, so they decided to rule against it being a penalty.

Francesca Gunn: Is this the only way City can see how to win? By flinging themselves on the floor for a penalty?

Gareth Hollyman: Refs have had some stick recently but Mike Dean has been brilliantly unfussy today.

Ash Williams: Early in the season and City are desperately appealing for penalties at every chance. Not wanting to drop points already.
