    Leeds 1-1 Manchester City

Blimey, now Leeds hit the post! Liam Cooper floats a header onto the post from a deep free-kick and it clips the woodwork. The offside flag was belatedly raised but he looked on to me.

  2. CLOSE!published at 66 mins

Riyad Mahrez now flashes a shot wide of the near post at the end of a sweeping attack. An electric second half.

Aleksandar Todorov: That equaliser has been coming since the start of the second half.

    Infinite Jesbo: Pickerson.

Sulaimon Adelekan: Leeds deserved the equaliser. They are playing better than Manchester City. They can go on and win this.

Ederson doing his best Jordan Pickford impression.

    Nick, Watford

How is Guardiola still in a job? Half a billion pounds and Man City still can't defend!

    Leeds 1-1 Manchester City

Rodrigo is the first Spanish player to score for Leeds United in the Premier League, netting just three minutes and six seconds after coming on as a substitute. Kalvin Phillips now whistles in a shot which is straight at Ederson, before Kevin de Bruyne slams a cross/shot right across goal at the other end.

  7. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Leeds 1-1 Manchester City

Kevin de Bruyne has seen enough, just takes the ball on his own and runs right through Leeds before eventually winning a corner. Bernardo Silva is about to come on.

  8. 'Rodrigo enjoyed that'published at 18:48 British Summer Time 3 October 2020

    Leeds 1-1 Manchester City

    John Murray
    BBC Radio 5 Live commentator

Goalkeeping error by Ederson. City are paying for not taking more of those earlier chances. Rodrigo very much enjoyed scoring that goal.

GOAL - Leeds 1-1 Manchester Citypublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 3 October 2020

    Rodrigo (59 mins)

Equaliser! Ederson has been excellent when called upon tonight but he's just done a Jordan Pickford impression. He comes for a corner, punches it into the back of Benjamin Mendy, and Rodrigo can't believe his luck, swivelling to sweep in his first Leeds goal.

  10. Leeds still right in the huntpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 3 October 2020

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Elland Road

Lots of animation and noise from the Leeds United technical area. They are on the front foot in this second half and they are still right in this game.

Marcelo Bielsa's side survived a siege at times in that first half but they forced City into mistakes and Ederson had to make two big saves.

Leeds are up for this fight.

Tiny Weasel: Never rated Benjamin Mendy. He’s a liability and not half the player he thinks he is.

James Smith: Ake should be at left-back over Mendy. When they attack they can make a back three and Walker can push on further.

Rezaa Sait: What's up with people complaining about City’s spending money? If your owners have the money, should you not spend it? How else are you going to improve?

    Leeds 0-1 Manchester City

Well that's how you make an impact! Straight away Rodrigo adds some composure to the Leeds attack, taking his time on the edge of the area before hitting a shot that is deflected on to the bar!

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 56 mins

    Leeds 0-1 Manchester City

Change in attack for Leeds and as I thought Rodrigo is now on, he takes the place of Tyler Roberts.

  14. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Leeds 0-1 Manchester City

Though he was still pretty good, actually. Kyle Walker, up against him tonight, was outstanding.

DCL was the best of the lot.

Former Northampton loanees team selector anyone? Probably a bit niche.

City now have their first attack of the half and Raheem Sterling blazes over.

  15. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Leeds 0-1 Manchester City

That's cracking football from Stuart Dallas, playing a one-two down the left that cuts City in half and opens up the pitch. He switches it out to Luke Ayling, who rather wastes it by duffing his cross clean out of play.

Dallas was highlighted on MOTD last week and his movement is superb. He wasn't this good when the Cobblers had him on loan.

  16. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Leeds 0-1 Manchester City

It's been entirely Leeds on the ball since the restart. Get Rodrigo on?

  17. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Leeds 0-1 Manchester City

Bielsa on his haunches as Leeds put together some more attractive play in midifield but City are able to contain them. Definitely more goals in this game, I'm confident.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 45 mins

    Leeds 0-1 Manchester City

Brilliant start from Ian Poveda, skinning his man down the right and flashing in a cross which is put away for a corner.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 18:32 British Summer Time 3 October 2020

    Leeds 0-1 Manchester City

Leeds are making a change - on comes Ian Poveda-Ocampo for Ezgjan Alioski.

Ian is a former City player. You don't get many Ians in the Premier League any more.
