Colin Bundred: 98% of Henderson’s shots go over the bar! Just not good enough.

Ricology: Being vulnerable at the back now, #LFC, external needs to finish off those plenty of chances. Blues will always accept a draw all day

Aahish: Mina header to win it, you're welcome :)

Robertson is a bit slower to get back to his feet, but it looks like he might be OK. He's certainly going to give it a go.

Allan and Robertson are both down on the turf. It looks a bit naughty from the Liverpool player, who stuck a boot out to catch his rival after receiving a little nudge himself from Mina.

Ref clearly didn't see it as he followed the developing move, so there's no action taken.

Wonder when we will get the obligatory Liverpool penalty

    John, Liverpool

Liverpool just need to remember they are world champions and Premiership champions and it's only Everton.

    Alan, Corby

Karius is surely a better option than Adrian- even with the champions league final blunders!

    Marcus, London

Rodriguez's turn to play an absolute worldy of a pass to find Lucas Digne on the left. His cross almost finds Calvert-Lewin in the middle, but Adrian gets their first, juggles the ball and then finally claims it before Richarlison can pounce.

And now Henderson has a pop. He clearly thinks he should have scored as well, putting his hands to his head as he pokes an attempt over following a semi-clearance from Robertson's cross.

First attempt of the half goes to Liverpool, with Fabinho firing over from range. The move that set up the chance included an absolute peach of a pass out wide from Thiago. Dripping with class.

Utterly absurd. Pickford knew exactly what he was doing - red card any day of the week. You don't have to be a red to acknowledge seriously foul play. A dreadful 'un' professional foul from a decidedly average keeper.

    Dave on the coast

To be clear. Getting the ball does not make a foul not a foul. Pass it on.

    Chris, Guildford

Mo Salah seems to be trying to place every shot, surely with Pickford in the terrible form he is in, he should be putting his laces through the ball!

    Rob Green
Former West Ham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jordan Pickford was out on control and he tried to do the Peter Schmeichel 'starfish' jump.

He has wrapped his legs around Virgil van Dijk and it looks really bad.

His eyes are only on the ball but looks worse rather than any intent on causing harm to Van Dijk.

Luke: Liverpool fans as always quick to leave every player to walk alone when they dislike them. I think its time they drop the song, the fans are making a mockery of it.

Willem Mavius: not sure about Thiago: he's slow to react and then he shoots wide. I think that e.g. Wijnaldum would have been quicker to the ball and hit the target.

Deldue: Was Mo Salah even on the Liverpool team Bus? I can’t find him.

  12. Everton may need to make a changepublished at 13:31 British Summer Time 17 October 2020

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Goodison Park

Liverpool are looking more threatening but Everton still right in this. Andre Gomes has looked way off the pace and manager Carlo Ancelotti may need to look at a change there.

I think Pickford's challenge was fair. It was well timed and clean.

    John, Cloud Cuckoo Land

Bemused at the outrage from Liverpool fans about Pickford's challenge. It was offside first of all, and they conveniently forget all the decisions they've benefited from in this fixture down the years.

    John, Liverpool

The game has gone mad! Martial gets a red for caressing a cheek and Pickford stays on for a challenge that could blow someone's knee out! Baffling.

Should Pickford still be on the pitch?

    Both sides losing key defenders.

    A goal apiece.

No threat from this one, though. But that is because Rodriguez swung it out of play and back in.

Mane is the man making it happen for Liverpool. He draws a foul from Rodriguez near the corner of the box. It is a foul that earns the Colombian a yellow and puts his own goal in danger.
