A decent hit by Fernandes but Karl Darlow gets a strong hand to push it away.

VAR is having a look at that challenge by Jamal Lewis on Marcus Rashford.

Referee Craig Pawson opts to look closer at the pitchside monitor.

Jeff Hendrick horribly miscues a shot on the edge of the Manchester United, hitting more air than ball, and the visitors break quickly as Marcus Rashford tries to open up space on the edge of the box but takes one touch too many and is tackled by Jamal Lewis.

Ryan Howard: No one's saying Maguire's goal makes up for his recent mistakes, but for a man low on confidence it should do him the world of good, which will then improve his defending.

Brilliant save by David de Gea to deny Newcastle!

Allan Saint-Maximin clips the ball in from the left side of the area, Harry Maguire can't head clear and the ball falls to Callum Wilson, who prods at goal and looks certain to score but De Gea gets down to paw off the line.

Moments later, Fred bends an effort just wide for the Manchester United. Entertaining start to the second half.

Callum Wilson races onto a ball on the left side of the box. He has no support so tries the shot but it is blocked.

Isaac Hayden is down injured after taking a knock to his leg when clearing a ball.

Hayden receives a bit of treatment but can't continue so Fabian Schar is on in his place.

Marcus Rashford shows good footwork on the edge of the Newcastle area and passes to Bruno Fernandes, looking for the one-two, but Fernades' pass is cut out.
