Michael: So far Harry 'the-fridge' Maguire has kept Chelsea's £200m of 'talent' under control. Where is this brilliant Chelsea attack everyone was on about during the summer? (Please don't let me eat my words later...)

Theo: Dishwater isn’t as dull as this game

Andrew: I think these players have been playing too much golf. They're standing and admiring their passes like you would a perfectly struck 3 wood off the first tee rather than moving to be ready to receive it again

Lovely touch! Marcus Rashford brings the ball down superbly after Harry Maguire finds him, he sidesteps Cesar Azpilicueta like a government minister but as he looks to shoot it's charged down.

    Still we await the opener.

That worked out alright didn't it?

We are into the last quarter of this hugely underwhelming match.

Reece James and Paul Pogba both need treatment after that one. A proper cruncher, won the ball clean as a whistle.

Hit it man! Ahhhh. Timo Werner is played in on the left and he could have hit an early shot but hesitates and the United ranks mass around him to shut him out.

Definitely opening up a bit at either end as Reece James crunches Paul Pogba in midfield.

And now Chelsea go close, Reece James whipping in a beautiful cross, almost Beckham-like, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic both attack it but the ball somehow snakes between them both and away.

Olly: Think I've worked out which game is going to be last on @BBCMOTD, external tonight...

Babyboomer: One of the most basic instructions in football is 'pass and move', whereas Man Utd pass and watch.

He's almost scored with his first touch! Edinson Cavani runs across his marker to flick a cross goalward and it nestles into the side-netting.

If you ever wondered just how fast Marcus Rashford really was, well the England striker is comfortably the quickest on the Old Trafford pitch this evening.

His top speed of 34.54kmh is more than 3kmh faster than Timo Werner (31.22kmh), who is second in the sprinting charts tonight.

I've checked, Rashford could complete a marathon in one hour 13 minutes 17 seconds at that pace.

Chelsea have played some nice football at times, it's just been very safe. But when they do get it right, as they have done a few times, they've put together some fine-looking moves.

Timo Werner pops up on the end of one such long thread of passes but his shot is charged down.

Considering the amount of money these two have spent, is there a way we can arrange for both sides to lose this match? Dreadful so far...

    Jonny

This Chelsea team is making me want to support Leeds!

    James

Not sure why everyone is complaining about the standard of football. It's 6th versus 15th, what did you expect?

Christian Pulisic runs around Harry Maguire and into the area and all the warning signs flash up for a penalty but the England man reaches in and gets a foot on the ball.

They've just shown the replay of his headlock on Cesar Azpilicueta in the first half and well...

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 46 mins

Fred is in the book for a trip on Kai Havertz. Surely Paul Pogba, whether you like the guy or not, is a better player than either of Manchester United's central midfield duo today - right?

  20. 'We were comfortable without really getting anywhere'published at 18:32 British Summer Time 24 October 2020

    Fulham 1-2 Crystal Palace

    Fulham

Fulham manager Scott Parker speaking to Premier League productions: "Probably how I see the game before [is how I see it now] to be fair.

"We were playing a really organised team and the goals came at the wrong time for us. We dominated for the first 10-15 minutes and after dominating it comes at a bad time. In the second half we build up steam and again they go and attack us and score again. I'm disappointed.

"I think we need to take a bit of risk in the final third, were weren't clinical enough and Tom's [Cairney] shot was the only time I really saw us take a shot at goal.

"You have to move the ball, take them to the side of the pitch and move the ball with a real tempo. You can come into a game against a team like Palace and be comfortable with the ball but not really get anywhere - and I think that was us today."
