"Keeperrrrrrrs!!" Good, loud, clean call from Rui Patricio to come off his line and collect Ryan Fraser's cross.

Gave Callum Wilson no chance with that one.

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

Lacking from both sides in the final third of the pitch.

Pedro Neto's run looks menacing but then curls a high cross straight into the hands of Karl Darlow.

  5. 'Newcastle would take a point'published at 17:04 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Newcastle would be happy with a draw, especially with the injuries in the midfield. Newcastle are a different team with Jonjo Shelvey and Isaac Hayden - Hayden gives you the legs and makes good tackles and Shelvey gives you the class in midfield where he can pick out a pass. Steve Bruce would be happy with a point.

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

Been told Wolves' kit is 'old gold' and not yellow as I mentioned at the start.

Oh no no, we don't want this. My main man Daniel Podence is down on the deck after a heavy challenge.

He needs quick check from the physio, but pops up and hobbles away to the sideline.

Think he should be OK to continue though.

Ah, it's taken half an hour but Rui Patricio finally gets a touch of the football.

Very comfortable though, claiming a Ryan Fraser cross at the near post.

  9. Postpublished at 28 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

Rui Patricio may have work to do now as Newcastle have a free-kick in a good position down the right.

An opportunity to launch one into the box.

But Ryan Fraser's flat cross is easily cleared.

    Poor.

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

    We didn't have a 0-0 for aaaages.

They've started to kick in now, though.

Long way to go in this though, Karl Darlow had that save to make early on while Rui Patricio has been a spectator for the entirety of the contest.

Newcastle's Allan Saint-MaximinImage source, Getty Images

Mark M: Saint-Maximim playing up front with Wilson isn't working. Newcastle devoid of creativity with him that high up the pitch. Need to drop him back to have 3 in behind Wilson where he can be more effective.

Steve Bruce is the most dignified manager in the league. He faced criticism from day one and yet has outperformed all his predecessors. Bravo sire.

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

All three of Wolves' centre-backs Conor Coady (24), Max Kilman (21) and Willy Boly (19) have completed all off their passes so far in this match.

That's what you get when you're working everyday in training with passmasters Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves.

  13. Postpublished at 20 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

Much better from an attacking perspective by Newcastle in the last few minutes.

The little Paraguayan Miguel Almiron shapes in a cross which Max Kilman has to head away at the far post.

  14. CLOSE!published at 17 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

And in a flash, Newcastle find space in the Wolves box.

Callum Wilson latches on to a long ball over the top and it looks like he has the beating of Max Kilman, but the Wolves defender does brilliantly to recover and make a sliding challenge just as the Magpies striker gets a shot off.

  15. 'Semedo impressive going forward'published at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

    Clinton Morrison
Former Crystal Palace striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Nelson Semedo is impressive, defensively he could do better but I think going forward he's been excellent so far, coming from Barcelona he has that reputation of going forward. He's got some big shoes to fill because Matt Doherty was brilliant for Wolves.

  16. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

Newcastle haven't seen the Wolves half yet.

Rui Patricio may as well be in the changing room, the Wolves goalkeeper has not had a single touch on the ball after 16 minutes.

Raul Jimenez hasn't found his bearings yet, still working off that Sunday roast.

Great work from Pedro Neto finds the Wolves striker in the box around eight yards out, but Jimenez scuffs a left-footed shot from the angle over the bar.

  19. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

Not what you expect from Raul Jimenez.

Former Barcelona full-back Nelson Semedo bombs down the right and finds the Mexican striker on the edge of the box, but a very tentative prod lacking in conviction means the ball sails way wide.

  20. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Like I said...!

It's Daniel Podence causing problems for the Newcastle defence again, buzzing around and pouncing on a loose ball but smashing a right-footed strike from outside the area over the bar.
