Any sign of a Newcastle equaliser?

    Not really.

Only five minutes left to try and find Joelinton in that box.

    Wolves 1-0 Newcastle

Raul Jimenez has been directly involved in 27 Premier League goals since the start of last season (21 goals and 6 assists), more than twice as many as any other Wolves player.

  4. 'Superb finish'published at 18:10 Greenwich Mean Time 25 October 2020

As a centre forward when you're in the box you're waiting for the ball and the defenders are waiting for the forward to tap the ball into the net but Raul Jimenez pulls off to the edge of the box. You can not leave a player of that class on the edge of the box. He takes a touch but it's a superb finish into the bottom corner. It's such clever centre-forward play.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 82 mins

    Wolves 1-0 Newcastle

Like for like change for Wolves.

Ruben Neves makes way for the midfield general Joao Moutinho with eight minutes left.

GOAL - Wolves 1-0 Newcastlepublished at 80 mins

    Raul Jimenez

    Breakthrough! Finally.

Wolves have been pushing and get their reward.

Pedro Neto's free-kick is only partially cleared by Newcastle as the ball drops on the edge of the area.

Raul Jimenez is the man to pick it up, letting it bounce and smashing a thumping strike into the back of the net.

Karl Darlow gets a hand on it but cannot keep it out, should he have done better?

A couple of changes for Newcastle.

Little man Ryan Fraser is replaced by big man Joelinton.

Allan Saint-Maximin makes way for Sean Longstaff.

  8. CLOSE!published at 77 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

Only one team interested in a winner here and that is Wolves.

It has not been Raul Jimenez's afternoon, this time drilling a low shot which Karl Darlow can deal with.

He's come on and you're thinking 'right, come on Adama Traore, bring a spark to this game'. That's what people are looking for - for him to prove why he should be starting.

I think Marcal will offer them more going forward. Hopefully Adama Traore will add a bit more than Daniel Podence has done this evening.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

Right, time to shake things up.

The excellent Daniel Podence makes way for dangerman Adama Traore.

    Fernando Marcal replaces Romain Saiss.

  15. CLOSE!published at 66 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

Speculative long range drive from Ruben Neves - we know he loves to hit them - but this one takes a slight deflection off a Newcastle shirt and safely into the hands of goalkeeper Karl Darlow.

Wolves readying a couple of subs.

The game needs some fresh impetus.

Fabian Schar has to be doing better today. He's been sloppy. He's a Swiss international so has to be doing better!

  18. CLOSE!published at 61 mins

    Wolves 0-0 Newcastle

    Pinball in the Wolves box.

Callum Wilson lays the ball off for Miguel Almiron's whose shot loops into the air.

Max Kilman's clearance is very unconvincing but allows Rui Patricio to come off his line and collect.

But has the directive changed now, Clinton?

The ball hit Federico Fernandez's arm which was not in a natural position.

Every one of those incidents this season has resulted in a penalty.

He's looking the other way. He's not even looking at the ball. I don't know how Nuno Espirito Santos can appeal for that? It has never been a penalty.
